The 4Kings website has now announced the release of their UK 1.6 team. Rumours have been circulating about the future of team ever since the organizations recruitment of the former Excello lineup.

The team had recently seen NicholaisoN and ZaG return to activity, playing in the ESL EM III UK qualifier and beating TcM to second place. However, tonight saw a lineup tagged as virtuoso take on sYnck in the first qualification round proper and confirmed the demise of the squad.

That said, JavaX, manager of 4K, commented with:

After playing under the 4Kings name for a while now, we've chosen to release the team. Coming originally from virtuoso as being the UK's number one team, they failed make substantial leaps in the European scene and ultimately fell behind in the UK scene too, losing their throne to dignitas.

After a number of lineup changes and player swaps, the team have been unable to rectify the situation. With jenuwin moving away soon, which would result in yet another roster change, we've decided to call it a day. We won't be pursuing another UK based CS team to replace them. Also I'd like to thank the parting players for their time spent in 4Kings and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.

It is currently unknown whether the remnents of the former virtuoso lineup will stay together, but with jEnuwiN moving to Nelson in just over a month and rumours of other players in the team quitting or moving to Source, we could see a complete disbanding of the team. Then again, we could see a return to the virtuoso tag. Time will tell.
