A few weeks ago it was revealed that Ola "elemeNt" Moum would be returning 1.6 with the mix team carried by OmeN. However, Jørgen "XeqtR" Johannessen has also been added to the roster and has been playing in the squads ESL EM III Norwegian qualification matches.

Hi murdy, obviously you dont have a clue, back when they folded in like june/july 03 they were ranked 2nd, they pld the then UNBEATABLE sk 7 times in their first year at numerous lans/tournaments. beating them 6 out of the 7 times, I'd safely say that made them better, no?

Hi blacky, was simply speaking about the time eol/sk were around together and during the one year eol were a clan, they were better than sk.
Which would infact make them better at one stage, thus murdy being wrong.
eoL, IMO were the best team there was they just folded and never reached their potential.
Someones watched eoL movie too much. Still, eoL didn't win much, SK did.
I've watched it a fair few times alright, just like anybody who likes sk/fnatic/mouz would have watched theirs.
eoL for that year were better than sk, if they didn't fold i'd have no doubt that those 6 wins would have doubled

Murdy you're missing the point, I'm not saying eoL won everything, Im just saying they beat the best team in the world and a team that had been dominating the scene for so long 6 times in 7 matches all on lan. If dignitas went the rest of the year losing 1/2 games and beating the likes of mtw/fnatic 6 out of 7 on lan im sure this website and most people out there would call them a better team.
Also why is there a stigma associated with being the best that you simply have to win the trophy to prove it...

I don't see it.
Basically eoL would beat SK but lose to other way worse teams that SK would never lose to.
man city beat utd twice last season (and could beat them every season here after) doesnt mean its worth a prem title and a CL trophy

Not that you lot played back then, but bar a mis hap at cpl dallas they dominated the scene for a year and won 3 of the biggest tournaments on offer.

Anyway can't be arsed typing they RINSED every team that year beating sk 13-4 on lan only losing out at cpl dallas. They were better than sk that year, FACT!

hardly. eoL died on the 23rd of June, 2003 after less than a year of playing.
During that time they won:
CPL Oslo
CB Eurocup VI
ESL Sweden Invite Cup
MindTrek LAN
Nine.ESWC LAN qualifier
as well as 7th as CPL Winter 2002 and placing at some other smaller LANs. hardly huge world beating wins.
Lets compare with what SK won between 2002 and 2003.

CPL Cannes 2003
CPL Summer 2003
CPL Copenhagen 2003
CPL Winter 2003
not to mention third at CPL Winter 2002, third at ESWC 2003 and then going on to second at CPL Summer 2004.
eoL may have had the better head to head record, but who really dominated? In some ways it was similar to arsenals 2003-2004 season, it was big news when SK lost. no one really cared when eoL didn't win. Sure, eoL were ranked second in the world, but behind who? SK. ;[

In oslo, mindtrek,eswc.swe, eurocup and cpl dallas EVERY tournie that eol and sk attended they beat them in all bar dallas where they were knocked out by ZEX AND TEAM9
you name cpl summer 03 and 02 as tournies both of which were around before eol formed and AFTER they died.
Didn't go to cannes due to financial trouble as esu were a DOG sponsor
I'd say they dominated sk from the TIME THEY WERE A TEAM they won everything they entered bar dallas oh, and 2nd at clickarena where they also knocked out....guess who? yup sk.
