WCG chooses 1.6!

WCG has now announced some of the games it will be using for its 2010 season.

They are:

* Carom 3D
* Counter-Strike 1.6
* Forza Motorsport 3
* Guitar Hero 5
* Tekken 6
* Warcraft 3: TFT
* TrackMania Nations Forever

Hopefully we'll see a UK qualifier this year!

The WCG finals take place in us Los Angeles in September.

IEM: Season 5 confirmed!

With IEM season 4 now over and ukr Na`Vi champions, ESL and Intel have announced the fifth season of their Extreme Masters tournament.

After handing out over £260,000 over season four us George Woo, marketing manager of Intel, commented at the prize ceremony that:

We are going to have season five.

Look forward to seeing you guys out there following us for another great season.

No other details have been confirmed but it's great news for eSports worldwide.

Begrip with new lineup

After losing their 1.6 team to swe H2k.Gaming the management at se Begrip have created a new lineup.

It includes the evergreen se Fredrik "JAEGARN" Andersson who will be returning to competitive CS after a break. se Daniel "rape" Borzsonyi also rejoins the Begrip tag after being removed by the previous squad.

Begrip is now:

se Max "azl" Hoog
se Per "fnazze" Höglund
se David "godlike" Livmar
se Fredrik "JAEGARN" Andersson
se Daniel "rape" Borzsonyi

hoorai add Hanso and uLTi

German team de hoorai have now announced the addition of de Hannes "Hanso" Dunkel and at Thomas "uLTi" Teissl. Hanso has played in lineups such as de A-Losers and de ID-Gaming whilst uLTi had played in the German de mTw squad as well in A-Losers alongside Hanso.

The duo will take the spots of tr Engin "e pato" Demir and hu Milad "Milad" Zamiri.
