After winning the last chance qualifier for the European finals of Intel's Extreme Masters it now seems Polish team Frag eXecutors have managed to get into the world finals after UMX-Gaming announced that they would not be attending.

ESL asked all the remaining Asian qualifier teams including Immunity and TitaNs to replace UMX but sadly they receieved no positive responses and the decision was made to add the former AGAiN team.

This leaves the groups as:

The finals take place between the 2nd and 6th of March in Hannover.

Ex- NeP players Gothial, cloud and mega have once again teamed up with the HARDFRAG organisation, recruiting former TXR/cloud9 player eRnie and uV waterboy/mascot jon (<3).

jon often refers to himself as the Kenny Dalglish of the UK counter strike scene, paying particular homage to the brilliant inside forward's shot hitting ability and slight (almost feminine) figure.

ESL have today announced the distribution of prize money with Counter-Strike 1.6 receiving over £3,000.

Less than a week after returning to full strength by recruiting Timi "aslak" Verkkoperä it now seems that Soltec have folded.

The team were hit by roster changes fairly early into their life with Atte "VIDI" Hyväkkä leaving for rivals Playzone and it seems the lineup was not able to properly recover, defaulting their WES Masters qualifier match against PGS D-Link.
