It's a pain in the arse to set up a decent hltv, especially if the lan centre aren't willing to help, internet / network access at these places is never easy. Nobody else is bothering to run lans in the UK, so anyone complaining: you can either go and fuck yourself, or get down there and lend a hand.
fair enough no hltvs but why has the scores not been updated
so hes holding a lan to promote Counterstrike, and perhaps make a little money, but surely if he was trying to promote counterstrike, he would have HLTV's to therefore raise awareness? which is kind of defy's the concept of running the lan in the first place.
We're talking about a LAN that previously had all the prize money stolen. I'm suprised it's even happening let alone trying to get scores up (which is really easy to do and keeps the rest of the community interested)

weakest, promote Counterstrike? The game is about 500 years old and is on its death bed in the UK, it's amazing there is a LAN at all. I think Dylan's mission is more along the lines of playing some CS on LAN and getting massively pissed.
fraghacK, what community are you talking about? This website is dead and pretty much everyone that gives a fuck about 1.6 in the UK is at the LAN. Also, are you really trying to define the quality of an event by if the scores are updated or not? If you were that interested you'd have bothered to go. Instead you're moaning like a little bitch. In other words, you're shit.
Roybacon, obviously there is a concept for him holding the event, erm surely hes not that much of a fucking idiot to want to play cs for fun, if holding an event is so important, promoting it properly would be an ideal situation so that for future events he may hold, people actually want to go to.
weakest - uk lan events like this are more social (in my eyes anyway) everyone goes to meet the people they've been talking to online and nice to have the community at an event, obviously their is a competitive side but a large majority of people are going to obviously try to do well, and also meet up together - dylan will get hardly any money if not nothing trying to organise it, he's bascially a one man army who is playing aswell so he can't update website, do hltvs - he is sorting out teams getting on the servers and making sure people are around for their games aswell as keeping tabs on everyone and making sure pc's are alright - much like most events in the past online coverage is mostly never there because they don't have the man power really to do it, like roybacon said the people that support UK CS are all at the LAN now - hope there all enjoying themselves and turns out to be a good lan, hopefully a few pictures and videos come up after the event ... (also its not really to promote counter strike in the UK cos like roy said it's non existant bascially)

I completely agree friza, however yes, cs is none existant, but that could be changed if lan events like these are ran more frequently, with coverage, on every gaming website, and for dylan to perhaps get his own website? I mean its not that difficult to make a website to list infomation...
