Problem doing my head in!

Alright, as the topic says, this problem with my pc is doing my fucking head in. So here it is, my pc is connected, and my cpu will run but my monitor wont show anything. But my monitor is connected aswell and it has the Standby light on. Now, before, it turned on after me giving it a 30 minute rest, but now its not showing anything. I tried cleaning my cpu with a blowdry (hope thats right) and I have tried to try it on various ocassions and its not turning up. What may the problem, Im guessing its my graphics card but its really hard to believe, opinions?

my brother had same issue, comp would go on but the screen wouldn't say shit, he replaced graphics card and now its fine so its blatantly your graphics

It could be your graphics card. Is your computer making all the sounds that it usually does when you turn it on? Are the fans all spinning? Does it beep like it usually does? There is a code for interpreting the number of beeps a computer makes as a way of diagnosing a problem. One beep for cpu, 2 for ram, 3 for something else. Check your manual for the answer. If your PC isn't making any sounds then it's probably fucked.
You could try replacing the graphics card or using the onboard one if you have one. If that doesn't work it's liekly to be your motherboard or cpu.
shit, i think its my monitor cord which is fucked cos everything in the cpu is working perfectly fine, like the fans for the gfx is running..:/
^^ what spetz said , remove you gfx card plug monitor into on baord gfx and try that , if it works , your gfx is screwed. if it doesnt then your monitor is most likely at fault

I dont like you Duke but I'll give my shot at answers. It sounds most likely to be your graphics card, thats all it could be. Try using your on-board graphics if u have it or go buy a new one.

I decided to skip all the comments abusing you and say your refresh rate might be set too high for your monitor? just a guess.
Fixed it, the watts on my switches were 110 and so not enogh power was going through to the motherboard. Fucking shit pricks, no use of you idiots. And yea sionoo, thats me right there posin for the camera.
