basically wen i try connect to a server my PC just freezes and ive gotta reboot 
? i cud have the PC on for hours though just searchin and dat and it wud be fine just wen i try connect it freezes? ive tried installing Panda Anti virus scan it helped let me connect to a server every time i did a virus scan but 70% of the time my PC wouldnt even boot at all. can any1 help me plz !

does it freeze when u load other games? if so ur gfx card is ova heating. try 1) putting a desktop fan inside the case pointed at the gfx card or 2) get either a new gfx card (in extreme cases) or get extra case fans! had same problem but i had a shit pc n just went out n brought a new one coz cba with desk fans pointin into ma case lol hope that helps :/
you cant just angle a fan at components inside your comp you tit.. He will need a fan port installing or making himself abouve the graphics port..

erm i jus tried to connect to a server a min ago and when im on last bar of loading i get 84 loss and CS freezes and my cpu usage of cs goes up to like 200k bug
i just tried to connect to a server it and it got to the last loading stage aswell and then just died. Cant be my comp as its a new one

It's something to do with the new ingame adverts. Im sure of it. It lags me at the start of rounds every time and randomly at times during the game, but i can still play.

Spud its a new steam bug that came with the adverts.... nt sure a deffo way to fix it yet but the way that worked for me is if u delete you whole counterstrike folder then reinstall cs

I had this, all I did was delete my config, run the game, worked fine, put config back, run the game, worked as usual!

DwH what johnson means (i think) is that there are 'laws' about airflow in your case, and you are actually doing the rest of your components harm by running the fan like that because you stop the airflow throughout your case and so they heat up more.
Spud if its not the steam bug, if you have anything plugged into USB or memory card, anything external plugged in try removing them. My PC reboots if i start CS with webcam plugged in. hf
I got this a while back, save your config somewhere, log out steam, delete your whole "Counter-Strike" folder log back into steam open cs, quit copy your config back and it's sorted.
