Just had a nice conversation with these guys, and after coming from source I know what they do. They basically run regular cups for source and a couple fun cups for cod4 but they had alot going and it's based from a server company and its all supported with admins, website, brackets and other great things going on. It's quite a succesfull project and I just wanted a chat with them to see if they were interested in expanding to CS1.6 and support the UK scene. They have agreed to this and they will now be running regular CS1.6 cups, starting from 16teams and them moving up and up, just like they did in source and it's worked out really well.
Another great thing is, any team can enter (even mix teams!) and established teams, meaning that you can all be involved and best of all, they require POV recording and using the XRAY anticheat and can use SGLAC on enforced servers, making sure that there are screenshots uploaded and people don't do the sly moves around using anticheat. The admins are extremely supportive and pretty much online when you need them, they have all had experience and training run cups as smooth as possible.
Lo3Cup have gone straight in with this expansion and have now announced their first cup for CS1.6 and we are hoping hoping all of you get involved and ready for this as it will be great and prizes are also available for the future, that means sponsorship from Lo3Servers and other services been provided to the winners of each cup, always a good motivator. You're all complaining about how there is nothing for CS1.6 and how its dying, well here it is on a plate for you and you're all invited to come and play.

Rules for this specific cup can be found on the Lo3Cup website, make sure you have read/know all of them before entering any of the cups.
I do hope you enter for this and I'll be pming some guys who I know, but for the others, I hope you get this and get involved as it's a great opportunity for the CS1.6 communnity, if CS1.6 cups are successful, then Lo3Cup will be hosting more cups, possibly leagues with prizes!

1) Register at www.lo3cup.co.uk
2) Click "Teams" then create a team
3) Get clanmates to register, then approve them in the team though "Edit Roster"
4) Then though Team Management click "Cups" Select the cup and join. Simple.

Its LiveOn3 who run the Cups not zaii. He is just helping out to spread the word.
We have noticed that the amount of Cups/Tournaments for the CS1.6 community is declining, although we cannot change the world, hopefully providing regular cups will allow some of the community to increase, again we are not trying to change the world!!!
Currently Lo3 cups has been a success, after only 3 months running regular CSS cups, we have a total of 2600 users, 595 teams, and around 30 cups.Just a couple of quotes from players who have played in our previous cups:-
"Just wona say, i think these lo3 cups are really good fun and thanks for hosting them Smile from team unlucky"
"ta for a decent cup mate, admins were great" (TiB|Kirby)
Teams need to have a roster on the website, so that we can make sure that the correct players are playing in the correct matches, with the correct team. From this we can also monitor players, and we can watch players in other games to stop trouble etc, (which rarely happens...)., we can also check the players against different ban lists to make sure that they are "clean". These measures improve the cups by making them run smoother, eliminate cheaters/hackers, and improve the players enjoyment.

Alex aka zaii has nothing to do with the cups atall. The cups has no infulence, or is not related to Core89 in any way, shape or form. He is not an admin or a match admin.
He has helped us to start promoting the cups.
