UKCS Mix teams?!

Following on from Ct-R's post about needing more teams to fill the ESL KoTH cup thing, it made me wonder what the hell happened to all the Mix teams we used to see all so often popping up those many months ago.
As we all know mix teams don't always last - which is what gave us the the mentality of "just another team waiting to fold in a week" attitude, which is true.
butttttttt 
at the same time you do get the occasional mix team that click well and next thing you know you've got a another team in the UK scene that might actually stay together for a while and achieve something.
UK needs more teams. More teams means more variations in skill level, which increases competitiveness, which means more people compete in leagues, and before you know it the UK scene wouldn't be so dead!
^ Something like that anyway, the principle of it is what i'm trying to explain anyway. It seems like i can count the number of UK teams on my two hands and two feet atm.
