ZLOB-MEDIA CODEC VIRUS

i accidentally downloaded this virus a few weeks ago, and unfortunately i can't do anything. i can't ctrl alt delete, get into control panel, see my taskbar/start menu, access the internet, and when i COULD see my taskbar it had VIRUS ALERT!!!! next to my clock. Ontop of that, my computer is no longer reading USB sticks so i can't transfer any programs. any ideas Sad?

there are ways to get rid of viruses like this but theyre very lengthy, it would be easier to just format.
