all the same, if u want extra range buy a 108 router and a 108 card but theyre expensive

You want a wireless N compatible card. Not sure if the home hubs are N standard though but it will be future proof if BT ever upgrade the hubs.

my friend has one and it's not, it spikes on the netgraph every few seconds if you use full rates, maybe that one you posted is better? or maybe u dont use netgraph/haven't noticed it?

My netgraph is always on, i have never spiked or noticed any spiking.

My connection is constant, never drops (like it did with wireless) and defo never spikes. Speed of my net has increased (browsing), download time and upload time has got noticably quicker also due to using the network homeplug adapter.
I highly recommend it as would anyone else who has one

The black bt homehub is rated N for its wireless capabilities, So its one of the best for both range and speed of wireless connection (upto 270mbps i think!) So as such get yourself a wireless N card, Best to use a pci card where possible although USB are a close second. Netgear seem like the best brand to go for.

never tried those power adaptors.. they look interesting. I've got about 3 different PCI cards and a USB from netgear.
Firstly I would first invest in a good router as mentioned above. I use a range max from netgear, seems good even if you're not the same floor, but then for a pci card I've got a G card from belkin, only one aerial, always a very good connection. Like i said i've tried others, some more stronger, but they either crash my computer as in the case of the USB from netgear, or don't improve it noticeably to be worth the ridiculous aerials which come with some of em. hope that helps
