Posted by ukritch on the 11th of September 2008 at 12:55 PM

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 'Wolfdale' 3.00GHz (1333FSB)
GeIL 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-8500C5 1066MHz
Asus ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3

What size psu would be suitable, just a friend told me 350ww and that sounds rather low,

Get a 500w IF you're planning not to upgrade for quite a while, get a 700w if you're planning on throwing in another HD4850, im not 100% about the mobo but I assume you've got xfire support on it?

500w will cover it easily.. just needs to be a good brand 500w.. in that respect, some 1000w cpus can be awful, totally dependant on power ratings and brand.. for example - normally if you're getting 1000w for £25, then it's gonna be bad lol

I run a higher spec computer on 380w, and it works fine. It is really not about the watts, you should read a bit more into it.
