The Extreme Masters III UK qualifier group stage is now over and we have our eight teams that will enter the next stage. Sadly there were a few defaults but Group D proved the tighest with adulkis mixteam Alibaba squeezing through on round difference.

The third week of TheSGL Summer leagues take place tonight with de_torn, de_sgl_stone and de_cpl_fire. Personally, I'm a fan of all three of these maps so hopefully we'll see some good games tonight.

Over at HLTV.org they have interviewed Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen of the new 4Kings.finland lineup. Inside the interview, lurppis talks about the new team, their dissapointments at WCG Finland and their expectations for the future. Below you can find a snippet from the interview:

Clearly it must be disappointing to start a new chapter like the result at the WCG qualifier. Was Soltec the better team or do you perhaps need more time?

Obviously Soltec was the better team in that match since they won (with a big margin) but at the same time we are very unprepared and unorganized at the moment so it's not the end of the world, I'd rather lose there and learn from our mistakes than go to a major event and drop out early there instead.

After a number of decent events, Evil Geniuses.us have announced that Scott "evolution" Cavallero is going inactive. Replacing him is Fadil "Nepo" Canovic who has played in such teams as PoV and makeSHIFT.

It has now been announced that MYM will be defending their ESWC title. Problems originally arose when the lineup moved from Pentagram to MYM and the ESWC organization stated that the team could not take their title with them.

MYM then missed the Polish qualifiers due to the KODE5 finals and and then failed to qualify at the ESWC Masters event last month. However, the MYM website has now announced that the team will now receive a direct invite to the finals in San Jose.

This now brings the number of teams up to 25.
