For this next instalment of the Online Hero series, theSGL are including a bit of a twist. Scrap those pistol round strats, startmoney is going to be $16k! The dynamics of pistol round and the eco/money system will have to be rethought out by teams, how will this effect games? Will it make them closer?

The event is a 32 man cup held on Sunday night starting 8pm, with the finals held the following night on Monday at 8pm. The winners will walk away with a shiney medal on their SGL team page, as well as some usual energy gum in the form of Fucapo.

theSGL has now officially dropped Condition Zero from its list of games. After numerous occurances of mercing, cheating and general abuse, Uzi has taken the step of removing it.

Uzi commented:

theSGL has decided to cease all activity within Condition Zero. Whilst no one can ever say we don't do our best to support all games independent of their popularity or community size, the Condition Zero nights have been marked by constant bickering and other incidents. With a combination of default hunting, cheating disproportionate to the number of players, mercing and general poor attitudes shown by many players we have taken the decision to drop the game and use our time to add something else for an existing gametype or try and something new entirely. We have enjoyed our time runnign CZ events and would like to thank all the team show have taken part over five seasons and many cup events. Sadly the recent attitude toward the game by a large number of the people taking part has made this a headache we no longer wish to endure each week.

That said, SGL Impact #8 which was won by mindgames will be the last CZ event on theSGL.

Enemydown still run a CZ ladder, but it now falls on the shoulders of GBGL to continue providing CZ events. Their next event can be found here.
