A Reason to Fold?

Posted by sxraz^ on the 14th of April 2008 at 6:30 PM in Team News    16 Comments

After strong performances at IG5 and a string of good results at i33, Reason.css has disbanded earlier today with immediate effect. The team were hugely successful over the past few months but it seems lack of motivation and the pressure to stay focused has took its toll.

Statement from Reason Gaming

With immediate effect Reason Gaming’s current CSS squad is to disband. After a hugely successful IG5 event the players were unhappy with 4th place at i33 and in the following weeks this lead to a decline in motivation. While usually issues such as this could be resolved, it was timed with the fact that some of the squad were each receiving very tempting offers from rival teams, which with contracts about to expire were too tempting to decline.

Simen "warclown" Aas Henriksen:

I would like to thank everyone for their support along the way, it has been one hell of a ride. Special thanks goes out to our sponsors and of course our management who have been there for us; gaming matters or personal matters. A really good support system and I have nothing but good things to say about this organisation.

They were:

nor Warclown
swe Giftig
swe Helblinde
dk Fetish
dk jIMMy

Best of luck guys.

Tonight is the second week of TheSGL Pro Series: P2P League and with hopefully a full night of games we shall see some important matches being played on de_nuke.

http://www.thesgl.com/assets/ukct_bg_images/SGLPro_banner_red_sm.jpg

I think the most interesting game of the night will be uk Team CoolerMaster take on newly formed uk Coda. Both sets of players have had a rare luxury in knowing and playing with each other for quite some time now. Although Coda have just formed you would be a fool to under estimate them, these guys have a forged solidarity about them and will need to use that teamwork as the answer for a win tonight. When you think of Team CoolerMaster, your thoughts quickly turn to their recent tough encounters with uk TLR. The guys were up against a strong TLR side who bullied them over two legs and managed to come away with their pride still intact... kinda. TCM have proved that given the opportunity they can produce some fluent and impressive tactics which may be their key to success tonight. My prediction: 10-16 to TCM.

uk Coda [08-16] Coolermaster uk

Other Fixtures: de_nuke 8pm

nl cZar [16:11] Engine-on-Mute uk
uk inyourmind [08:16] acuity uk
ice CatalystGaming vs BYE

Another game to keep your eye on tonight is the match up between uk Faction and uke vitalsigns. Faction narrowly missed out on a week 1 win against uk FtD and they showed a lot of bottle with some nice set ups and plays, although I think they need take a more settled approach into this game. uke vitalsigns on the other hand have yet to play but I think they may surprise some people in this league. One thing I will say is that this league will be very tough for the side who struggles in tonights match. My prediction: 12-16 to vitalsigns.

uk Faction [15:15] vitalsigns uke

Other Fixtures: de_nuke 9pm

uk Flattering to Deceive [16-02] -x3- uk
uk locked [11:16] MEYEX uk
uk satisfied! [16:01] IntoTheGame uk

Good luck to all the teams tonight!

Not n1ce enough for x6tence!

Posted by ukblubs on the 16th of April 2008 at 11:38 PM in Team News    12 Comments

Over at the Spanish 1.6 scene it has been revealed that the relatively new player spa Arturo "n1ce" Balbastre has released himself from the team due to the lack of results.

The former redcode player made a brief statement of why he left the team

n1ce

The bad results during the last tournaments have left me with no proper motivation, which made me prioritize other aspects of my life," he told the team's official website.

I am sorry that my departure happens in such a chaotic moment, from which it will be hard to recover, from which it sometimes seems impossible to turn things over.

x6tence has now the following line-up:

spa Jose "DrastyK" Blasco
spa Antonio "FlipiN" Rivas
spa David "r1bera" Antón
spa José "sioK" Rodríguez

spa David "DeyF" Arroyo (inactive)
