Infinity-Gaming 5 Announced!

Posted by ukProtex on the 3rd of January 2008 at 8:04 PM in Gaming News    72 Comments

As we hit the New Year we all start looking forward to upcoming LANs and competitions and to give you something to look forward to we thought we would release the details for IG5. Following the success of IG4 and the KODE5 UK Qualifier at Omega Sektor we are pleased to announce a return to the venue with the aim of making a bigger and better event.

IG5 will take place Saturday 16th / Sunday 17th February and will look to cater to both CS 1.6 and CSConfusedource communities. All the vital information you need can be found below and on the IG site and registration has opened so get your team down and start practicing!

  • Games: CS 1.6 & CSConfusedource
  • Teams: 16 for each with options to expand
  • Cost: £35 per player
  • Prize fund: £1250 starting pot for each competition

Unfortunately we have had to increase the ticket cost to cover the prize fund and the venue hire but I am sure those who went to IG4 will agree, Omega Sektor lends itself nicely to hosting a tournament and hopefully IG5 will be no exception.

If more than 16 teams complete registration and look to pay their deposits then will we will look at increasing the size of the tournament and if we can add more sponsors we will also look to increase the prize funds.

More information will be released shortly but feel free to go and start the registration process.
