Interview: B1ad3

Posted by ukNic on the 5th of December 2007 at 11:30 AM in Gaming News    18 Comments

SK-Gaming have released an interview with ukr Andrew "B1ad3" Gorodenskyi of ukr A-Gaming. After their third place finish at WCG 2007, the interview focuses on his CS history, as well as what it was like to rank so highly at one of the worlds biggest 1.6 events.

Heres a sample:

SK: Were you impressed by some players or team?

B1ad3: Yeah. I were impressed by one player. It was froD from coL. Actually the greatest player. And also i was impressed by LeX from Virtus.pro. The person which will prove to anyone that the desire is capable of great things. It’s true but only if it’s truly real desire from your heart!

Interview: Andy Reif

Posted by ukNic on the 5th of December 2007 at 11:34 AM in Gaming News    8 Comments

GotFrag have now composed a four page interview with us Andy Reif. For those who don't know him, hes the lead CGS Commissioner. The interview talks about the future of CGS, as well as about the world finals which kick off tomorrow.

Heres a taster:

GotFrag: You had a wide selection of games this year but one genre that many feel was missed out on. Will a 1v1, DM, PC game be added for next season?

Andy Reif: The answer is we are looking at all the games. I hate to go back to it but we have been in existence for seven months and you don't want to add 18 games and then fail miserably. You know we picked one 1v1 fighting, one action fps, one sports and one racing game and we thought that was a good mixture. We said ok, what has a big audience, what exhibits skill at the highest level, what worked for television that we could bring to a more mainstream audience? You don't have to necessarily play that particular game to enjoy what we are filming, whether its for TV, online or for mobile.

Well worth a read.
