"We are happy and pleased to be a part of the Devoted organisation. We were in touch with a few other organisations before Devoted. But nothing felt like 100%. With Devoted in our backs and a strong management this cant go wrong. We have always had high but realistic goals in this team. Now we are in Devoted we can focus 100% on the game instead of worrying about managerial problems outside the game and we hope we will have a great time in Devoted. Last weekend we attended the TiMeS:Hot 2007 LAN in Kerkrade, where we participated in the CSS Competition. We took the first place very easily. Leading our first season in CAL EURO (10-0-0) and with the semi finals in CAL upperbrackets for CAL MAIN we are confident that we can compete with the best. Now we have become a part of Devoted we are ready to train as hard as we can! Our next bootcamp is just around the corner and playing with this tag will give us a great feeling to have."

XLEAGUE Footage of ESWC UK Event

Posted by enguzi on the 4th of September 2007 at 3:40 PM in Gaming News    25 Comments

On the 26th and 27th of May 2007 players from the length and breadth of the United Kingdom descended on the OmegaSektor in Harrow, London with one purpose in mind - qualification to the Electronic Sports World Cup grand finals in Paris where they would have the chance to represent their country in one of five gaming disciplines Counter-Strike®, Quake 4™, Trackmania
Nations®, Pro Evolution Soccer 6™ and Warcraft® III : The Frozen Throne®.

XLEAGUE cameras were there to record the second day of this event and this was then featured in their "Inside Gaming" presentation. This can now be viewed either by the flash player or a streamed DivX player in glorious technicolor on the home page of the ESWC organisers GameFrontier.

I'm sure you'll see plenty of people you will know there. Footage includes the top class "Come on lads ! 15-0! " cry from Kritikal though I fear some of his funnier remarks may have a bit too colorful for this video!

seveN makes a comeback!

Posted by spaSpud on the 4th of September 2007 at 4:51 PM in Team News    25 Comments

The most well-known Icelandic Counter-Strike team seveN has unveiled a fresh comeback with an old WSVG line-up.

Last time we saw the team folding in January due to a period of inactivity and a lack of practice and motivation. Before folding, seveN managed to do pretty well at the previous WSVG UK stop by placing fourth.

seveN's roster is:

is Birgir "sPiKe" Águstsson
is Vignir "WarDrake" Hrannar Vignisson
is Gudmundur "roMim" Helgi
is Andri "andr1g" Gunnarsson
is Brynjar Páll "deNos" Jóhannsson

They will be attending to the upcoming WSVG London stop, which is scheduled to be organized on 16th - 18th November.

Good luck!
