theSGL Cup Run: Tuesday results

Posted by ukMartyn on the 4th of April 2007 at 4:24 PM in Gaming News    4 Comments

"uk"The first night of this particular cup run started at eight pm this evening and ran through till around twenty to eleven and featured some both some good close games and some matches which frankly if they happened on a field of war would be considered as war crimes and the admin would no doubt have to stand trial. Possibly.

"uk" Reveal would no doubt have been one of most peoples pre night favourites to qualify at the first time of asking and they didn't disappoint as they powered past "lovely" #Anticipation (16-01), "en" frantiC (16-08). and finally on nuke "br" cLip (16-05). l o was their standout player of the night putting in three performances which saw him claim the man of the match in all of them. When you're hot - you're hot!

In the other half of the draw "en" Team Regret set about their first opponents with a purpose, "cn" miNgyun.gm fell prey first (16-02), followed by what can only be described as an epic encounter with "uk" Config-Gamers running into overtime some three times (22-20) before ending the night with a tough match up with "bi" Rush-it! who took some beating on the final map of the evening (16-12).

Big news for uk dignitas today as they announce sponsorship from none other than Intel!

dignitas had this to say:

Intel has been involved in the eSports world for a sustained period of time; their enthusiasm and drive has helped to shape eSports into the thriving community that it is today. With Intel now backing Team Dignitas we have gained a partner renowned throughout the world for their innovation and technology. We look forward to being an asset to them and to UK gaming in general as we strive towards becoming one of the best Professional teams in the world

Intel also commented with:

Intel is delighted to be the new head sponsor of Team Dignitas. They are a clan with a great local grass-roots following, and we look forward to working with them, helping them grow as a clan and raising the profile of e-sports in the UK.

Crazy stuff there as dignitas join uk 4Kings in the ranks of Intel sponsorship!
