With Europe now well into 2007 its the time for some of the biggest roster shake ups of the year with many players contracts expiring as of January 1st! One of the first big roster changes of this year is the announcement of the new de mousesports roster which will not come as a shock to many.

The two players that have remained in the team following on from 2006 is de Christian 'Blizzard' Chmiel and at Franz 'gore' Burghardt and the first addition is none other than de Navid 'Kapio' Javadi, a player who really burst onto the scene during 2006 with the German organization de aTTax. The two players that will join Kapio in the mouz colors are two players who seem to be stuck together at the hip and Kapios former team mates in the aTTax team which enjoyed success during 2006 are de Tim 'silver' Hochgrebe and de Manuel 'Tixo' Makohl, again two players who made a big impact in the Counter-Strike scene during 2006.

Posted by ukNic on the 2nd of January 2007 at 11:50 AM in Team News    19 Comments

The Swedish 1.6 team of ru Begrip have now announced the loss of swe Magnus "Mardröm" Jakobsson and swe Richard "rikko" Leek.

swe Fredrik "JAEGARN" Andersson, one of the remaining players had this to say:

What made Begrip Gaming part ways with these two players were personal issues inside the game, and outside the game as well. We just felt that we had to part ways with mardröm and rikko

That said, the team are hoping to pick up swe Johan "face" Klasson who played for eu M19 at the most recent CPL Winter event.

    JAEGARN added:

Face isn't officially a member yet. We will bootcamp next week to see how we work together. The reason behind this move is simple, he is the next big star so everything will be up and running after the bootcamp.

    Begrip.swe is now:

    swe Kim "Avator" Ludvigsson
    swe Fredrik "JAEGARN" Andersson
    swe Claes "nmd" Järvefelt

    Best of luck.

Another big announcement from swe SK-Gaming following the departure of swe Jonas 'GoodFella' Virtanen. The team have now deciided not to renew the contracts of swe Christer 'fisker' Eriksson and swe Christian 'vilden' Lidström.

The SK site had this to say:

I am sad to announce that we have decided not to renew the contracts of three of our current Counter-Strike players. It has been a very tough decision, but we feel the need for this after the not so promising results of 2006. All of you will be greatly missed.

    A huge change there then!

    SK-Gaming is left with:

    swe Jimmy 'Allen' Allen
    swe Mattias 'Snajdan' Andersen

*Update* - fisker has posted on the SK-Gaming.com site that the new SK line-up for 2007 will be: swe Allen, swe Snajdan, swe dsn, swe f0rest and swe hibb.
