We are pleased to announce that EnemyDown, 4U-Servers and Ebuyer are teaming up to bring you a fantastic new competition for Counter Strike Source which boasts the largest prizes in the UK to date!!
Ebuyer is looking for a Counter Strike Source team to represent them at LAN events and online. In order to get the best team EnemyDown will be holding a huge competition to find out who is good enough to win such a prestigious prize.

The winners will be sponsored by Ebuyer for 12 Months, covering all of the costs attached to attending the biggest LAN`s in the UK, paying for game servers, website requirements and last but not least a high end gaming system for each of the winning team. Exact specifications of the systems are not confirmed but Ebuyer are working with the leading hardware suppliers to create a gaming system to be very proud of! The winners will walk away with over £35,000 worth of sponsorship and equipment.

We will be opening sign-ups soon and will be closing them at the end of December. The event will be starting early January 2007 so you have plenty of time to register your clan on EnemyDown, brush up on your tactics, practice with your rivals and generally prepare for the biggest event the UK CSS scene has seen!

We will be releasing more details including the structure of the tournament between now and the start of sign-ups so watch this space for more information, we can confirm at this point that the finals will be held at a dedicated LAN event which should be in March 2007.

rogerdoger today on behalf of UKCT interviewed Simon “iNotes” Hannigan from the 5Giants organization who had a successful Portugese team (some of whom played in the now folded excello) and a UK team.

iNotes talks about the previous incarnation of 5G as well about the upcoming reform.

iNotes: We are always willing to take a look at talent within the UK. I have no complaints about genuine hard working teams messaging me with a good solid application. Obviously we are looking for managementand a web master to manage the website on a full time basis as well.

Yeah topic says it all pretty much, im not sure if we were scammed or just the fact the power just went to a complete retard. but yeah c4u has kinda come again into a bad stage where once again someone who has something gives a load of promised and then just never keeps them sad but true.

Basically Drisky was a guy who came to us asking us to be the cs team, play for loads of lans for him and represent his net cafe ( which he doesnt know the address of yet ) which i will talk about later.

We got told we could go to CPL dallas in winter, i pushed to get the flighs booked to make sure this was a real deal and we got told yea itd get paid for by the wednesday of the week that talks happened. It got to wednesday we didnt really know what was going n we asked drisky if he had paid for it, he hadnt ( what a surprise ) we asked why we asked when we asked where, the answers were, We hadnt been playing enough so we wernt ready yet, they would be paid for by saturday if you keep playing, and the money is in a bank somewhere.

Saturday comes its crunch time again we ask if he had booked CPL nope but he did say he`d pay for the entrance fee, we thought "YES" finally something were on the team list it looks pretty much official, but we still wernt satisfied, the entrance fee comes to about 150 dollars which is 30 dollars each and works out about 80 pounds. Not a very big sum for a tournament and trip which will in total cost up to 3 thousand pounds.

We ask him when the flights will be booked, the answer we got was after I series.... I SERIES ?!?! ok we`ll put up with I series its got a lot of prize money we could use that for the spending money in america... So we try and get I series paid for, by this time the COD2 team which we wernt informed about joining the c4u ranks and were suddenly brought in, in a flash decision from Drisky because apparently the sponsors wouldnt stick with him if he wasnt a multigaming clan. So ok we accept the decision of getting this COD 2 team bleh so wot, doesnt effect us much. But the COD2 team were already paid by drisky for i series.. So we thought right now its time for us to have our tickets paid for, but this wasnt the case we got told on the Wednesday that it would be paid for by Friday, Friday came we asked if it had been paid for, dejavu seems to be common this time of year.

I came online on Saturday asked drisky why he hadnt done it, apparently he had to speak to wez, now lemme getstarted on wez little elliot.. Elliot is working for Driskys Net cafe which is being opened in Febuary of 2007 Apparently t his lan centre has had 1.5 milliion pounds invested into it, it also has smething like 1 thousand 500 computers inside of it, 1.5k PCS ?!??!?! cmon. I series has trouble filling a 1 thousand pc event 3-4 times every year how u gonna fill up 1.5 k pcs on a day to day basis to keep this net cafe running.... So yeah Elliot is told that Drisky has had word from his dad or investors that he had to either choose between Elliot having his job @ the net cafe in febuary or having the cs team sponsored.. Obviously this came to us as a shock and a big one at that, i became even more suspicious of what was happening here and i enquired further.

I then said i was going to leave the team and progress with my social life and education, if this wasnt sorted by tonight, i left it 20-30 minutes wez and Drisky were swapping words in the ventrilo channal above mine, and the conclusion was that we would go 50/50 on I SERIES now this kinda was the last straw for me , i called it a day there i couldnt take much more of this back to back every day having to ask if something had been done or not.

My conclusion in all of this, throughout the time Drisky was "sponsoring" c4u and my team we have been harassed by him and puit down by him saying we havent been playing enough im sure tmg, eom and dignitas will back us up on the level we play at, and the pure down fact is that drisky is a liar.. hes lied his way into this scene just like cireland did i just hope people dont put as much faith in him and spend their own money like the ATR q4 team and cs team did.

Ive also been given a contract by Drisky which i may choose to upload later, im no super lawyer and neither is my dad but i know a fair bit about contracts and the contract just proves he was in this for himself he could dismiss us at any time taking back whatever he had given to us and we would be bound to it we would also be bound to working at his net cafe and also various other stuff..

I do not doubt so much the fact he has this money to pay for people to go places but i do doubt his knowledge and sensibility with this money. He is quite simply down a spoilt little kid who treats people like shit and thinks he owns u. He will never ever do anything for the players in his organisation if it pushes through and he constantly lies and makes promises about stuff which he cannot do.
