Posted by ukNic on the 16th of October 2006 at 11:12 AM in Gaming News    0 Comments

Over in us New York us compLexity have beaten us 3D over two maps to one to pick up the DigitalLife 2006 championship and and a nice £8000.

Due to the organizers GGL refusing HLTV, TSN or scorebot access (the only coverage was through their own register-only service) the whole event wasn't exactly covered in the most public way.

Anyway, the final standings and prizes:

1st us compLexity - £8000 and five Alienware m5750 laptops
2nd us 3D - £5300
3rd us Pandemic - £3700
4th us United 5 - £2700
5th ca Evil Geniuses - £1100
6th us Echo7 - £500
7th-8th us Flow
7th-8th us h5m

Congratulations to compLexity!

MiA join n!faculty!

The all Austrian team at Made in Austria announced their move today into the organization de n!faculty. Made up of some ex de mousesports players, the team was originally a pipedream to create an all-Austrian team to represent Austria at the biggest gaming events.

Heres what at Yilmaz "apathy" Seren had to say about the move:

Seste and I know Wepster, the leader of faculty, for a long time. He made us an offer to join them and we accepted because we know we can play there in a positive atmosphere without concerning about organizational things. We got the same value conceptions in terms of friendship and success and n!faculty is a reliable and traditional organisation in Germany. Much won't change though for us. Our main goals like participating in EPS Alpen, a good ranking at WCG and attend other events like ESWC & SEC, remain the same.

The team are competing in the WCG finals at it Monza, using at Franz "gore" Burghardt as a stand-in for at Christoph "pyr0" Trafoier who is finishing up his military service.

n!faculty is:

at Yilmaz "apathy" Seren
at Michael "PapsT" Schmid
at Christoph "pyr0" Trafoier
at Boris "sQuad" Zrost
at Martin "seste" Szesztanovich
at Franz "gore" Burghardt (Stand-in for WCG)

Good luck!
