EnemyDown: Anti-Cheat V2

After the previous release of the ED anti-cheat and subsquent cracking of it, the ED anti-cheat team went back to the drawing board to attempt to produce a better and more secure AC.
Released yesterday, the AC also includes the ability for users to 'mark' screenshots to help admins pick out would be cheaters. Although many people see ED as a poor league in standards of skill and admins, its still good to see the release of an anti-cheat.
ED released a statement shortly after its release.
The EDAC has only been released for a matter of hours and we have already seen that some people failed to read the rules regarding its use.
1) The EDAC should only be used in EnemyDown arranged matches. It should not be used during public play. People ignoring this rule may face a ban from playing at EnemyDown. To clarify this rule for everyone, the EDAC should only be used if there is a match scheduled on EnemyDown and the use of the EDAC is part of the match rules on the challenge itself.
The second point of note is rule 3 for the EDAC
3) Every user has the ability to mark a screenshot for admin attention. This facility should not be abused, people who see fit to abuse this ability will lose the ability to do so. Marking screenshots which do not need the attention of an admin wastes our time, please only mark screenshots that need our action or attention.
Thanks

CSGN: Rookieblaster
With the new CSGN season underway the new CSGN was always just around the corner and today the wait ends! Stono has finished the production stage and tonight the anti-cheat goes into public testing on the CSGN public server.
Official CSGN Statement.
Rookieblaster is the anticheat that we will be using this season.
This is a news post to let you know that it's out of production and in public testing. We will be launching testing with the CSGN public tonight after the games. This means that it will not be in use for the game tonight, but may well indeed be in use tomorrow if things go as planned.
For you to install The Rookieblaster, you need Windows Installer 3.0 and .NET Framework 2.0. You should definitely download these off the Windows site if possible. Otherwise, as a last resort, click here:
Windows_Installer 3.0
.NET Framework 2.0.
Once you have these installed, you are in a position to download and install The Rookieblaster.
When the time comes, the program will prompt you to login with your CSGN username and password, and then you can pick a "session id". This can be anything you want, and it is used for your own referencing so you can change between sessions.
Sessions are linked with user accounts so if you are accessing more than one CSGN account from the same PC, you will need to create two sessions with appropriate names so you know which session goes with which account.
Apart from that, there is no user input. It will log you in (and may take several seconds to do so). When it has, you will see it minimise itself to the windows task tray. When you exit CS it will give you some bubble notices letting you know what the hell is going on, and how many Rookies it blasted.
Awesome. Please await the news post with the download link.
The link to download the anti-cheat should be released sometime this evening over at the CSGN site so keep your eyes peeled!!!
Chillside lose pxr

In other obscure CS news today,

Chillside have announced a roster change.

Niklas "pxr" Holtäng has left the team, with

Jimmy "Nippo" Posth stating that an unstable enviorment was to blame for the change.

Nippo had this to say:
Our latest results weren't the best at all, a lot of it was due to the problem that existed in the team, the problem if we should test a new player or not. Some players were in a bad mood for this, that's why we hope that we can perform better with our new roster.
It is still unknown when we will announce our new player. My guess is that it will happen in a couple of weeks.
Our future events are still unknown as well. We will try to participate in the most important events in the world. We started this team only four months ago so, from now on, you will be able to see Chillside-Gaming achieving better results
Chillsides lineup is now:

Jimmy "Nippo" Posth

Sonny "raxxe" Eriksson

Fredrik "JAEGARN" Andersson

Erik "van1ty" Andersson
gl to those crazy swedes!
CSGN: Div 3 - Week 1
Once again its dust2, and once again it's the first chance to impress for the CSGN Season8 division 3 teams. Division 3 sees many teams returning from previous seasons and looks again to be a tight division. Best of luck to all the teams competing!!!

theSGL:t Half full

theSGL:t has now had half of the places reserved by deposit and only 16 places now remain to be taken. With (at the time of writing) 45 teams looking to fill just 32 places we advise anyone intent on attending to get their deposit made sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. Remember to make deposit and reserve your teams place at theSGL:t you just need to have two player pay the £19.99 fee, the remaining members are then able to pay on the door or pay in advance on line as well – entirely at their discretion. Whatever you choose to do, we suggest that you do it now – before it's too late.
We are also delighted to bring you news about the game servers at the event.
Rather than run the matches on a spare pc hosting the game server, we have Dustworld in attendance with a dedicated box to ensure your games run perfectly. It will also be a weight off our mind to have their networking know how on hand for the event to make sure that HLTV and other outgoing coverage gets out and is available for all to see. For this we thank richyF and the rest of the team for their ongoing support.
