Interview: Blizzard

Posted by ukNic on the 1st of June 2006 at 10:26 AM in Gaming News    0 Comments

Over at SK-Gaming they've done an inteview with de Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel from mousesports. In the interview he talks about how WoW has affected their team, as well as the role of no Element.

Heres a sample.

ATTaX seems to be the German team that everyone is talking about. What do you think about its latest results?

ATTaX made many bootcamps at their headquarters in Giessen so they are in a very good shape now, really deserving the glory they are getting at the moment. Hopefully they can keep up their strength representing Germany in a very respectable way at the ESWC. We will see if we can challenge them at the EPS-Finals in one week but I really doubt it right now.

Another interview for you. Our friends over at ESL have interviewed uk Reece "Zag" Bullers from alltherage. In the interview Zag talks about the LAN finals and cheese. Its a bit of a short inteview but good all the less.

Heres a snippit.

Looking to the LAN Finals, what do you expect to achieve at the event?
Anything other than winning the LAN will be an underachievement for us.

Fighting talk there!

Monkey Magic are 4Given!

Posted by ukNic on the 1st of June 2006 at 10:54 AM in Team News    1 Comments

After reforming Monkey Magic, the UK/Irish/Belgian team have joined the gaming organization uk 4Given.

4Given would today like to announce the latest edition to 4Given, a new counter-strike 1.6 team. The team formally competed under the name of 'MonkeyMagic', and today the 3 English, 2 Irish and 1 Belgium member are welcomed into 4Given. The line-up and team have a fantastic history and some memorable results both in online and offline competitions.

The lineup will stay the same.

uk Paul 'Rav0r' Bennett
uk Paul 'Dark0r' Galea
uk Tom 'Toomy' Harries
ie Gavin 'Vertakill' Devine
ie Steven 'KaM' Walsh
be Phil 'Quark' Belhomme

Paul 'Dark0r' Galea answered a few questions for SK-Gaming.

How did you decide to go to 4given and why ?

We were talking about a changement since 4/5 weeks ago. We had a lot of propositions and it was hard to choose. 4Given is a big stable organisation, and it will allow the team to practice easier and get to events without any financial concerns.

Link below to the SK newspost which includes the entire statement and all the Q/A's from Dark0r.
