Again the games from last week were postponed due to downtime of the site so the games should be re-scheduled via the match comments as usual. Looking to this week, we see games taking place on de_inferno on this very important half way milestone in the season.

Here is how the league table looks so far:

theSGL ESWC UK 2006 LAN Event update

Posted by enguzi on the 3rd of May 2006 at 3:14 PM in Gaming News    0 Comments

""

""

The registrations for ESWC UK 2006 qualifying tournaments are now open on the ESWC official site (www.eswc.co.uk). Please remember that you need to sign up on  the ESWC site to take part in the official tournaments, and that you need to sign up and pay on theSGL site (www.theSGL.com) to actually attend the event.

I am also pleased to be able to answer some of your queries at this time. Hopefully the following will clear up any initial confusion over some of the details..

Is this a qualifier or is it the finals ?
This is a qualifier for the ESWC UK finals.

How many teams/players will be going through to the final?
Four CS1.6 teams, four QuakeIV players and four Warcraft3 TFT players.

What is the overall layout of  the tournaments at this event ?
There will be the main ESWC UK 2006 qualifier event, the Quake IV and Warcraft3 TFT single player ESWC qualifying tournaments, and theSGL Counter Strike Source tournament . Alongside these will be the UKCT invitational 1.6 knockout, and a three day "open league" for both source and 1.6 teams.

When are the tournaments being played?
The ESWC UK 2006 qualifying tournaments are scheduled to be played on the Saturday and Sunday. There is no guarantee that these events will not spill over into the Monday but we will strive to avoid this. The other events are to be played Friday to Monday.

How much does it cost to enter the ESWC UK 2006 qualifiers?
The entry fee for the ESWC qualifiers is included in the event attendance fee of £60.

Can I just pay for the ESWC UK 2006 qualifiers and not BYOC ?
No. The fee for the event whether or not you elect to bring a pc of your own is £60

There will I am sure be further questions brought up by these answers and there are still several answers that you  will require such as the when and where of the finals and the prizes for these events. These will be answered in due course and as quickly as possible. In the mean time we urge everyone to get themselves and their teams signed up for this forthcoming gaming extravaganza.
