    CAution! are back

Posted by ukRealf1re on the 5th of March 2006 at 6:48 PM in Team News    0 Comments

CAution! is back once again with a slightly changed roster from last time. The Lineup is:

    uk Realf1re
    uk DiaBz
    uk g00z
    uk StrideR
    uk v1x
    uk vpr

Also the reason CAution! died last time was because I got fcked over by Rattlesnake, w1cked and DarryL because i had to leave half way through an official even though i told them i had until 10 and it took 40mins for the game to start. Oh and we had a sub in darryl anyways. So when i came back the following day they had gone back to Goldbrick and left me in CAution! Not only did they fck me over they also took CAution's Eurocup Spot with them and the ESL spot. Due to majority of the roster departing from the clan. So thats why we folded last time. Hopefully nothing like that will happen this time and we won't fold like most of you will predict. Just bad luck so maybe this time we will get some good luck with this lineup.

    Competing in:

    SGLinvite
    UKCT Cup
    ESL EAS Series
    CSGN Upcoming Season

    #CAution!

    Infinity Gaming 3

    "IG3"

    Infinity Gaming 3 Championships

After the success of Infinity Gaming 2, which was a breakthrough in UK CS LAN history which brought together 160 gamers to compete in one of the most professional counter-strike LAN tournaments in the UK to date, we bring you Infinity Gaming 3. We have learnt a lot since our last event and we are going to promise our gamers the best LAN setup and organisation ever seen.

    The Setup

At Infinity Gaming 2 we were plagued with PC problems, therefore we are only getting the best for our next event. Infinity Gaming 3 will have 40 PCs, all with the spec as follows:

    AMD 3300+
    PCI Express 128mb GFX
    1GB RAM
    19-21" CRT Monitors > 100Hz

Yes thats right, no TFT screens! We believe the setup will be the best there has ever been in a tournament in the UK, and we will be keeping with our groups to double elimination format.

    How to get there

Northampton Railway Station is 5 miles away, which is just 1 hour from London and easily accessible from the North. For further details on trains visit www.thetrainline.co.uk Please be sure to check and book your transport early to avoid disapointment. From the station there are many taxis outside that can take you directly to the Hall.

    Accomodation

There are many places you can stay in Northampton. There is a Travel Lodge which offers cheap rates for the weekend situated 5 miles away from the Hall. Further details can be found by clicking here.

    Overnighters

We will have 40 PCs for people to use overnight on friday and saturday, so if your team wishes to bootcamp before the event you may do so! We will be taking bookings for the overnighters after deposits have been taken in.

    Where?

As this tournament is run by gamers, for the gamers, we read all the comments about where YOU would of liked the next LAN to be held, we realised that the midlands was the most accessible place in the UK. We wanted to give equal opportunity for players to travel from all over the UK to come and compete at our tournament, so we found a venue in the midlands.

Infinity Gaming 3 will take place in Gayton Village Hall.

    Gayton Village Hall
    25 Hillcrest Rd
    Gayton
    Northampton
    NN7 3HG

    When?

Infinity Gaming 3 will take place during the Easter Holiday on the 8-9th of April.

    Tournament details

We only have spots for 32 teams. We are currently taking signups for interested teams, you can sign up by e-mailing madSpunK or Desp @ infinity-gaming@hotmail.co.uk with your team name, roster and IRC channel or by coming along to our channel on IRC quakenet @ #infinitygaming and PMing one of us the same details as mentioned above.

    The Cost

The cost for each player is £25 which covers the whole weekend. Each team will be required to make a £50 deposit via paypal to secure their spot at the LAN. We will start taking deposits in a weeks time when our new website is complete. At Infinity Gaming 2 we had to reject many teams due to only having 32 spots, therefore please get your deposits down fast to secure your spot. If you wish to book a PC you must inform either Desp or madSpunK and it will cost £10 for one night for each player.

    The Prizes

The total prize fund will be £1000 split as follows:

    1st: £550
    2nd: £350
    3rd: £100

We will also be announcing further hardware prizes closer to the date. Seedings, groups and brackets will be announced once we have all 32 teams with their deposit down.
