"ESL"

The ESL UK Winter Cup is now drawing to a close and tonight we see the final teams battle it out on de_nuke. We have two matches taking place, the 3rd place play-off between virtuoso and slyna, and the Grand final between Goldbrick and AcM.

Team: uk AcuMen
Placement: ESL Winter Cup Finals
Lineup:

uk Kurt1s
uk moTo
uk Sengcheek
uk sLy
uk zaKed
uk AlesKi
uk Nitrony
uk SolutionX

Team Results:

vs uk Play (WIN)
vs uk [i] (WIN)
vs uk deliverance (WIN)
vs uk Virtuoso (WIN)

Team Report: AcuMen have been a very strong team throughout the competition and has proven this time and time again with not only their ESL UK Winter Cup performance but also in CSGN League and SuicideGaming League. With the latest addition of AlesKi they are now even stronger than ever. They also achieved the Semi Finals at the CSGN Season 7 Lan Finals which they seem to be still high from and hopefully will be walking into this match with a positive attitude.

Team Statement On Opponent: "Well, being Goldbrick, we are expecting a very hard game tonight. Though at the moment we are on a bit of a high after gettin to the semi's at CSGN lan this weekend and a win in the semi vs virtuoso last night... though saying that it is very well documented we are absolute dire on nuke so should be fun!" Team: uk goldbrick
Placement: ESL Winter Cup Finals

Team Results:

vs uk Coax (WIN)
vs uk omg (WIN)
vs ie Wink (WIN)
vs uk SLYNA (WIN)

Team Report: goldbrick look to be on form this year with the only team having the hardest route to the final with victories over some impressive teams. They have marked their name and have done with a 2nd place achievement over at CSGN Season 7 and a respectable Semi Finals run at CSGN Season 7 Lan Finals but many other people hoped they would go even further. Will the dissapointing run at CSGN Season 7 Lan Finals haunt them today or will the results that they have carried along their ESL UK Winter Cup campaign give them the edge?

Team Statement On Opponent: "They've been doing ok recently but if we do what we're meant to we should win." goldb`puNt

In other news at the ESL UK Winter Cup event we see 2 more teams battling it out for 3rd place and that is between virtuoso and SLYNA. Two of these teams have had a fairly decent run in this event and are two teams to be reckoned with but both where really unlucky to have lost. This will be another match to be watching today, I really don't want to go into detail but i can tell you something... Sparks will be flying in this match today!. Don't miss it!

4Kings: 2nd @ Lethal Gamers

Posted by ukpie on the 13th of December 2005 at 12:41 PM in Gaming News    0 Comments

As I sit here eating my Marks And Spencer Chicken Salad Sandwich, made from only the finest, free range chickens, I stumble upon a small LAN competition held @ Lethal Gamers as a warmup to CPL. There were some "good" teams in attendence, namely us compLexity, us Rival and our very own uk 4Kings.

As the title suggests our 4Kings did well, finishing second behind the current #2 ranked clan in the world, us coL. However, whats more interesting, is that coL actually had to work hard to beat our kings. Both their games together were close, especially the final which went into overtime. Heres the Kings results throughout the tourney;

16:05 Vs us JMC (Group Play)
16:01 Vs us Token Ring (Group Play)
16:02 Vs us Elite Pimps (Group Play)

16:00 Vs us PK (Upper round 1)
16:07 Vs us Elite Pimps (Upper round 2)

11:16 Vs us coL (Upper Round 3)

16:05 Vs us Mug N Mouse (Lower Round 4)

16:11 Vs us Rival (Lower Finals)
16:14 Vs us JMC (Consolation Final)
16:19 Vs us coL (Grand Final)

Is this a positive sign of what is to come from the 4Kings throughout winter CPL? Will we see them break top 5 which is currently their best performance at a CPL? Are M+S Sandwiches the best ever? All these questions will soon be answered as Winter CPL starts soon. Stay tuned to complexityclan.com and Gotfrag.com for better coverage!
