....Another Division.

A new division has come to my attention thanks to Ct-R.

The latest division to the Enemydown ladders is Div 4, where EVERY new clan will start. To get promoted from this division, a clan will have to play at least 4 ED officials, and then apply for promotion. You’ll then be placed in the normal Div 3, which is currently being tidied up, and all the inactive clans removed.

The UK's hopes for ACON5 this year is Landed, a team all of you should recognise. They set foot on Chinese Soil Two days ago, and today the games start.

For them, its not looking pretty. No disrespect because I think they are a respectable and mature team, but the term 'way out of their league' rings a bell. First up they meet the best Australian team at the moment, fzer0.

fzer0 is a team that I know not a lot about. They have not been to too many international events, so I'm guessing their experience level will be somewhat similar to Landed, which ofcourse goes in the UK's favour. However, browsing gotfrag, and in particular fzer0's road to winning their ESWC qualifier, it seems that they did not have much trouble at all. The rest of the Australian teams are dire? I dont know. fzer0 are really that good? I dont know. But what I do know, is that if LAnded want a chance of going far, they need to overcome this mediocre obsticle that goes by the name of fzer0. After all, in the same bracket as the UK boys are teams that will send quivers (sp) down their already nervous spines, compLexity, virtus.pro, attax and SSV to name but a few.

Update: Landed lost 16:1! It seems the boys can't handle being down under! *hoho *

Its still not over for Landed, as they have another chance of winning. However, if they thought fzer0 were hard, these guys havn't seen nothing yet!

Next up for Landed to play, is the german based team, alternate aTTaX. In the first round on de_dust2, the german team lost to the russian powerhouse Virtus pro.

For this game I can see what happened in the first round for Landed, being outclassed. A team such as aTTax has a LOT of experience under their belt, attending numerous international events. They also have the determination and passion to want to win, do you guys still remember what happened when these guys played 4K on de_train last CPL? 4K needed 3 rounds to win the game after winning first half 12-3. Guess what? ATTax won the game.

Over all, in the first round, Landed were pushed into the deep end. Now? They have been handcuffed behind their backs, have had weights added to their feet, and have been dropped in the middle of the atlantic. However, It goes without question that I wish these guys the best of luck.

UPDATE: To be fair, who would of thought Landed would have got 7 rounds off of the german power house. Id say that was a good effort, and I congratulate you. Go look at the sites now, after all, its all free!

In other news, shock as the next big thing SSV, who placed first at ACON5 Sweden beating NiP, and second at CPL Brazil, have lost in the lower bracket to NBTD-50 in double Overtime, and are as a result out of the tournament.

A refreshing news piece for you all to browse now. Im not sure how old it is, so you all may well have already heard, played, dated its mum by now, but I am going to tell you about it anyway!

Digital Paintball is a half life mod, which I found out about today! Its really fun, although I have only played once and it was on a random german server and my ping was 290, but never mind! As the title suggests, the game is paintball. You can choose various types of Guns, each with their own advantages and disadvantages, much like any other game. However, the ak and the m4 of the paintball world is the Intimidator (Or something similar, so get that one!!). You have a set amount of credits, in which you must buy a gun, paintballs etc.

The game runs through steam like 1.6, source etc, which I found really easy to use. There are plenty of servers in the UK too, just none seem to be that populated. The game is still in its BETA stages at the moment, so naturally there are updates needed. However, if this short description takes your fancy, you can download the game from the link below.
