A whole bunch of new features are coming UK's way, from the popular american website
ESEA. There is far too much for me to type, so I shall take it straight form the site!:
From Friday, April 15 – Friday, April 22, E-Sports Entertainment is hosting a UK open house event where we will be showcasing the ESEA pug (mix) mod, jump map, aim map, and CSDM servers for all registered users (FREE) to use. The open house will feature events and appearances from the biggest names in UK CS including 4 Kings, Landed, Choke, Calibre, and Last Chance. To play on the servers you simply have to be signed up on the ESEA or one of our Pro Teams’ websites (4K, 3D, u5, or TEC) and have your Steam ID correctly entered in your ESEA profile.
All servers are hosted by GameDaemons, which now has a datacenter open in London waiting to host your team’s game server! For information on GameDaemons and check pricing visit www.GameDaemons.net
The regular American ESEA Premium servers will still be available for ESEA Premium users only and the other servers will be open to both Premium and non-Premium users. After the Open House all servers will be Premium only. The servers are all viewable on the Servers tab and the information for each is as follows:
pug.uk.esportsea.com – UK Pug (mix) Mod Server #1
pug2.uk.esportsea.com – UK Pug (mix) Mod Server #2
csdm.uk.esportsea.com – UK CSDM Server
jump.uk.esportsea.com – UK Jump Map Server
aim.uk.esportsea.com – UK Aim Map Server
Play with 4Kings – April 17 from 7 pm – 10 pm GMT
Play with Landed – April 17 from 4 pm – 7 pm GMT and April 19 from 4 pm – 7 pm GMT
Play with Choke – April 17 from 8 pm – 10 pm GMT and April 21 from 8 pm – 10 pm GMT
Play with Calibre – To be announced
Play with Last Chance – To be announced
The PUG servers allow you to quickly and easily join or create a pick up game. Simply join a server and a bot automatically advertises the server IP, people playing, and map in #esportsea on Quakenet. When all players have entered the servers and you are ready to begin type “.ready” in message mode one and you will be prompted to choose between random or self managed teams and the map. The server reloads the map, players ready up again, and then the game automatically restarts three times and goes live. At the half the server automatically changes the teams, players ready up, and the second half commences. For a complete list of PUG commands type “.help” in message mode one in the server.
The jump map servers will track your completion percentage throughout the map and time your progress and records the fastest times. To begin your time type “.start” in message mode one at the base of the jump map and “.start” again at the base anytime you want to restart your time.
Some important differences to note are that statistics are kept for Premium members and HLTV records demos from every Premium pug and aim map. The HLTV demo is automatically published to the internet for people to capture footage of good shots or investigate suspicious behavior. We also have a full team of Secret Service that roam the servers and investigate EVERY complaint submitted by a Premium member to keep our servers free of nuisances and forums friendly. Additionally, each month we give away FREE NVIDIA graphics cards and free lessons to random ESEA Premium members and mouse pads to the top point scorer, most skilled player, and player with the most minutes.
To signup or learn more about ESEA Premium, click here. We now accept PayPal, cash, and money order.
So there you have it guys, interesting I'm sure you will all agree!
UKIECup3 Week Three Results, Week Four Fixtures
Week three has just passed by of the UKIECup3 on de_clan1_mill. I didnt get the chance to see any of the games so i cant really comment, but some results from this that could be intresting to you are vLr! 16-14 theb0g, theb0g been tipped to win the competition have certainly suffered a slight set back. Before i get onto the week four fixtures, just a quick note on some replacements, fcc have replaced sillybears in group G and and ge4orce have moved into group E to replace lysis.
Now for the fixtures of week four, on my favourite map, de_train. Some intresting games that come to mind are fcc vs synergy, this will be a good test for the old school fcc. Also choke vs showtime and vLr! vs AnTs both look like they could be closely fought games. But the game of the week has to be ge4orce vs disturbed.
The rest of the fixtures are as follows:
oTT vs Chr
ONE vs xiLe
ge4orce vs distured
fluid vs Team R
TheFeared vs theb0g

As you can see there are alot of make-up matches in that fixture list so not all will be on de_train, there has also already been some results which are:
oTT 26-4 Chr
ONE 21-9 xiLe
fluid 19-11 Team R
wp to all the teams involved and gl to all the teams.

The

UK will be looking to retain the championship that they won against the odds vs

As for the groups...
Group A

CPL vs. ESWC

In an article over at
www.Team-aaa.com they have written about the conflict currently involving the dates of the CPL and ESWC events occuring at the same time. The article offers some insight on both organizations.
Trevor "Midway" Schmidt, from gotfrag.com was interviewed about ESWC..
What is your analysis of the growth both of CPL and ESWC?
It seems pretty blatant that ESWC has grown leaps and bounds recently while CPL may have even taken a step back at least for their local events in the USA. Their CPL World Tour really hasn’t been successful yet in terms of community support, but they have a year to go. I think both are growing and moving forward so I think its very relative in terms of growth.
The CPL seems to be avoiding France as we see none of World Tour step take place in France. Can we soon imagine an ESWC in the United States ?
I don’t think the CPL is avoiding anything. It just doesn’t have any flagrant opportunities. And to be honest, yes an ESWC Grand Final in the US seems quite possible.
