The final of the CAL-Invite league proceeded through its final earlier tonight.

compLexity took on

zEx on de_inferno and won quite comfortably. After a strong opening, included eleven rounds won in a row, compLexity didn't leave much spave over for zEx...
Total:

compLexity [16:6]

zEx [13:2] [4:4] (de_inferno)
fRoD from compLexity on the win:
CAL-invite is probably the most prestigious league in all of Counter-Strike, and to finally win something that I only dreamed of competing in is a dream come true. I remember being in the lower tier leagues wishing I just had the opportunity to play in Invite, then make it to the playoffs, then win it all. Finally, after 6-7 seasons of being in CAL, I got a title!”

UKESA Cancelled

Well, havn't I had a great morning. Get up for work at 6, get to the train station bright and early, only to find that every train station within a 40 mile radius has been closed for enginering (sp?) works. Nice of them to let us all know throughout the week that this would happen
But the news I am about to say, is far worse, and sadens me even more.

UKESA, UKT's sister, has been cancelled. I have been speaking to
morgan throughout the week and he did mention something about this, but I never thought it would become reality!
The reason was due to Lack of signups, caused by three main factors; Location, expence for hotels and the like, and ACON5 the week before. Even after my inspiring (sp?) article, it seemed these 3 factors were just too great for UKESA to overcome.
UKESA might have cancelled the LAN, but there are ofcourse more in the pipeline, perhaps at a more appropriate venue/time. And an exclusive right here; there is talk about online leagues, rivaling CSGN, to be released soon!

Yesterday saw

ctx win the latest addition of cups at the Unicon centre in Manchester,

UniconCup 8. After a dissapointing defeat from

CAution! earlier on in the week in CSGN on de_nuke,

ctx were keen (sp?) to show what they can do.
Here were the groups at the event for those that didnt know:
Group A - Start 9am
davesports
nwa
sex monkeys
Switch
Group B - Start 12pm
Turtlesports
Police
Ctx
deceptive
The guys that make ctx, won themselves 3 ATi x700's and 2 Ati 9800's (whatever they are - im crap with computers), which im guessing are good.
Well done

Fairly Known SSV-Lehnitz have announced their new

Swedish lineup, with only one original member

faken, the lineup now consists of:

Abdiwahab "MegatoN" Mohamed

Magnus "Magix" Berndtsson

Marcus "zet" Sundström

Kristoffer "faken" Andersson

Youcef "Solido" Riahi
With
MegatoN and
Magix coming from such teams as

matrix and

TAG.PCG along with
zet from such teams as

Begrip and finally
Solido recently leaving from new 'top' team

embrace.
At the moment you can see the new SSV-Lehnitz perform their first match from Highland Online LAN at Monday 21:00 CET vs. Mousesports in CB Eurocup.
I personally wish them luck while they attend CPL and many other upcoming events.
