CSGN Predictions - Prem Week #1

Posted by ukenuex on the 1st of March 2005 at 1:42 PM in Gaming News    0 Comments

With the first week of the 6th season of the top uk UK online CS league [csgn] just around the corner (Monday 7th), Realf1re of uk CAution has typed up his predictions for the opening Premiership fixtures and some good background information regarding each game. I have moved it into the articles section as it is worth mroe than just to get washed away as "old news" - here's a snippet:

Choke vs syNergy

Choke: I underated Choke at one point. Plus they use to give caution loads of stick so i didnt have much respect for them as a team. Until we played them in a cup and lost 20-22 i think, was a cracking game and was good fun. I now think they are a solid team and if they put out their best lineup they deserve to be respected as a top 5 UK team. If Choke play to their full potential i can see a pretty high scoreline in favour of Choke.

syNergy: These guyz are the most erratic team in CSGN this season imo. They can either play AWESOME or play really badly. They dont have much consistency about them. They have great individual skill in the team especially from the likes of milka. It depends if these guyz are on top form on the night they have a very good chance of beating Choke. But i suspect Choke will be well up for this one and i can see syNergy not doing to well.

Choke 19 - 11 syNergy

UK Clan Update!

Posted by ukZizi on the 1st of March 2005 at 4:25 PM in Team News    0 Comments

A few clans have decided to pick up players, or players have decided to depart from their clans!

  • Smittins has decided to go inactive from uk Landed and quit playing competetive CS for the meantime, this will leave uk Landed's active roster as: b0sH - KhAoS - Toomy - Mx and Jack, Best of luck to them, and will we seeing a replacement?

  • uk CAution! as early already stated have recruited former Factory player fr VesKiT and also most recently the australian au ferg who does currently live in france, maybe this is for the LAN in france they do plan on attending to their ranks leaving there lineup as: Realf1re - Suffz - ferg - VesKiT - rob - v1x and vpr. Best of luck to them!

  • uk SCEE have picked up puNt, former sx endEffect and uk Proficient, leaving there team as: DK - puNt - Gideon - Arak - Stannly - Sarge - KingKiller - Bom - Docker - fran, I may have missed people out, but I think thats them all, good luck to uk SCEE who strengthen their team even larger.

  • m|Ke has decided to rejoin uk teamX after leaving them for uk definition which leaves both rosters somewhat stable, with uk teamX's lineup stands as: ^MeT - champion - davies - hayes - boomer - pie - m|Ke and uk definition are left with: grav - AdaM - rob - Nx and cleverdon, best of luck to both teams!

  • uk oTT have gone under some changes recently and finally brought their squad to a stance leaving their lineup as: bodin - Nyx - kdn - Edelenbos - 101, best of luck to uk oTT who have been around quite a while now.

  • uk TurtleSports who recently have reformed have brought in RuLe from uk Proficient fame, a solid player who should do well for them leaves their team as: mebR - Glover - adren - FAxjE - Elusive and RuLe, best of luck guys!
  • Clanbase Opencup Division 1 UPDATE!

    Posted by ukRealf1re on the 1st of March 2005 at 4:37 PM in Gaming News    0 Comments

    Gold TrophyClanbase Opencup Division 1 has some good english respresentatives this season so i decided i would make a news post about how they are getting on. Also i will post some up and coming fixtures for the teams.

    Group C

    is Adios
    nl edit
    fn apostrafe
    be afterfx
    eu 814
    uk SCEE

    SCEE Currently placed last in their group after loosing vs nledit 28-2 on de_dust2. Their next fixture is vs 814.

    Group E

    eu 4gl
    hu SBC
    es C7
    uk ForsakeN
    nl qnb
    eu Restyled

    ForsakeN are currently placed 4th in their group with 1 match played. Unfortunatly they lost to a strong spanish side esC7 16-5 on Dust2. Their next up and coming fixture is against a team from Holland called qnb on de_cbble. Also they have eu4gl on Sunday 6th March at 21:00 GMT.

    Group F

    ie Wink
    uk Choke
    nl forZe
    cz warra
    es Silver TrophyCTF
    sca HVHc

    Choke on a record of 1win 1loss are holding their own in Group F. Im happy to see them sitting comfortably in 2nd. Big matchup for Choke on 4th March vs group leaders Wink, this im sure will be a game to watch. The game is to be played on de_inferno.

    Group G

    is diG
    fn SK
    nl dp
    fn o2
    uk CAution!
    de PlayinG

    ukCAution playing isdiG tonight @ 8pm on inferno looks to be a good game on paper. But with ukCAution coming off 2 losses and isdiG coming off 2 wins the odds are stacked in the favour of the strong icelandic side isdiG. ukCAution need this win to stand any chance of progressing to the playoffs, on the other hand isdiG need this win to secure themselves a spot in the playoffs.

    Group H

    no Club Safari
    de Bronze TrophyfrantiC
    uk ONE
    pt FX2
    es LT
    pl vokaL

    ukONE are like ukChoke sitting comfortably in their division. With 1 win and 1 loss ukONE need their next game to have a good chance of making playoffs. ukONE's only loss coming to a norweigen side noClub Safari. ukONE's next game will be against the Spanish side esLT Tonight at 10pm GMT on de_inferno.
