Well it's surely all change with the
CaseTech Enemy Down Invite League at the moment. Of the two matches scheduled for tonight, one has been cancelled and the other rescheduled, possibly for thursday. Here's the news in bullet-point fashion!
eClipse.cs have folded, dropping out of EDIL.
NeoN^ had this to say:
Well, after a bit of deliberation between the members, we've decided to call it a day. This was mainly because of a lot of peoples social lives catching up with them and not being able to commit fully to the clan. It wasnt a decision we've wanted to make, but there wasnt much option! I think we'd all like to give a few hugs and kisses to all we've been involved with in the past, and mabye we'll be back soon.
OfflineGamers.cs have also folded, the reasons for this,
DiRe made clear:
Basically, our first CL gave up CS to focus on his studies, then reQuiem took over and he was doing a great job, but the clans commitment seemed to have dropped players turned up less on IRC and rarely practised, we all knew it was coming. We were excited to play in ED:IL to see how we would compete but we didn't do ourselves justice, we had zero practise for any of the matchse then our CL told us what we all knew - it was game over.
Balls On Chin have gone inactive, this is their statement:
Boc is currently inactive, and will be untill yoyo gets his internet connection in cambridge. BoC will be back together and back on form in a few weeks. please continue to idle as we will still be on irc. We are sorry to the EDIL teams for their 0-1.
It's a pretty disappointing state of affairs but for the most part, I think it couldn't have been helped. Three clans will be moved in to replace the above stragglers, [ukct] will let you know as soon as possible who these replacements are to be.
"It ain't easy being good, but it's a lot harder being bad." were the words once written by a name that eludes me at this moment, the statment holds true in many cases, perhaps in this one also.

Macarbre are a new clan only recently formed, "So what justification is there to post about them?" I hear you ask, well [ukct] has always enjoyed posting about new clans, this post wil be made especially interesting or entirely yawn inducing, depending on your point of view, when you hear that

Adulki is a member, I spoke to the rabble-rousing proprietor of e-thuggery to get the low-down.
UKCT ::
For those who are not aware of your infamy, would you please introduce yourself to the UKCT community?
adulki :: Hehe, I'm not that sure that anyone hasn't heard of me being it bad or good, but my name is Ross, and I live in Glasgow, Scotland!
UKCT ::
Many players 'travel' the UK scene, moving from clan to clan and also from group to group, such is the transient nature of our community, do you feel that Macabre will be something you'll stay with and mature. Do you hope Macabre will become perhaps a fully grown and respectable clan?
adulki :: Yeah I think we will, myself and two other members are going to unicon playing for seperate mixes, and all of the clan have known each other for atleast 6 months or more so I guess we could grow very quickly.
UKCT ::
Each player his his or her past, events that would not be looked upon favourably from an outsiders point of view, events that could even blight a person concievably for an entire lifetime, with this in mind, do you feel that Macabre is something of a fresh start, or a new outlook on Counter-Strike, perhaps shedding and eschewing the premature skins of old, and stepping into the cloak of the new?
adulki :: Well none of us have been in a team together but as I said we all know each other and everyone has a good reputation apart from me of course, but I guess it will get better... I think that we won't be looked on favourably, but we will be something to look out for because of my bad reputation..maybe an underdog? the team is quite a fresh start but we are all good friends and have been for alot of months, so I guess its half and half
UKCT ::
Many gamers have some sort of idol or mental construct that fits the image of a specific games player, often these people are revered by their fans - perhaps unnecessarily - but with a certain amount of contrived requirement that matches their elaborate view. Who do would you look up to in UK CS, who are your idols?
adulki :: I don't really look upto anyone but if i was to look upto someone it would probably be a team like eoLithic or something like that but I dont really look up to anyone as im my own role model, in my eyes when I'm playing beileve that my team can win vs anyone (this is self confidence, not saying we can) just to boost moral and make sure we are playing over our best. I love to just get the adrenaline going and really destroy teams who think they are the best
UKCT ::
There are possibly hundreds of young gamers that wish to excel at their chosen game and become high-tier players, and through that, become a recognised person in the e-sports community. What advice would you give to the 'up and coming' stars of tomorrow?
adulki :: Well, from my past experience, DON'T CHEAT, and go to alot of LAN's like I'm trying to do now, it really does boost your reputation but if you wanna be in a 'top team' then stick with the same friends and try to make something of that until you get noticed
UKCT ::
What are your aims for Macabre, is this merely a fun clan to pass the time, or is there a greater desire that you harbor for your team? Which leagues and ladders will you be entering?
adulki :: Well I want the team to practice really hard to get to the top of the scene and i think we can accomplish it.. you can do anything if you beleive in it so yeah we are a really serious team and I think we might enter the next CSGN season, I think thats season 6 and will be attending alot of lan events.. 3 of the clan are going to unicon cup with other mixes etc, so we will be able to meet for the first time etc just to sort some stuff out
UKCT ::
Any last comments or shout outs?
adulki :: I'd like to say thanks to ssj, gooz, xrob, xelr, kA, RH and loads of other people who stuck by me

and hi to blondeh!!
The current Macabre roster is: kA - adulki - xeLr - xrob - and a mystery 5th, oooh.
Why not pop into #Macabre on Quakenet and pay them a visit?
dum dum DUM *dramatic movie music*. Hello everyone and welcome to my evening addition of 'Clan news roundup'. Before we start please notice the extra thought that went into the topic. Also, this should come under clan news but I thought it would be better under news seeing how there isn't any today! So lets get straight into it...
First of all,
FSK, everyones friend, our UKCT admin and voted best bum 2004, has left
Landed. Reasons are unsure although when I bitch-slap him later I should get a reason for you.
ssj, renowned for causing clans to fold, has joined up with the Landed team, after FSK's departure. Landed lineup is:
Rob "b0sh" Spalton
Jack "Jack" Grimsdell
Luke "Smittins" Mittins
Jim "Mx" Smale
James "ssj" Cawley
So where has our main dood FSK gone. Well, hes joined the ranks of
Demo & co, otherwise known as
QuinQuellers, along with former Landed star
Eeon. So there lineup now is:
Demo
Liam
FSK
xbm
blade
Eeon
DK has recieved death threats from adulki. I think we should all pray for DK as he goes through this traumatic time. Jay, my thoughts are with you friend.
