The cs team of

Xlerated has today closed its doors, and folded. They had a good stint in the UK cs scene, with their most recent victory being the

eSa cup.
Thankyou all for your support. The cs.uk team of xlerated has decided to call it a day due to
lack of commitment, effort, and unable to atend lan events. We would like to say a big thx
to #dustworld for their support! id also like to thank the players in xlerated. Note we are
all still good friends
The team was
Dominic "Lemonhead" Davison
Song "Song" Kwong
Adam "AdY" Brown
Mark "Headbulb" Sheridon
William "Will" Miles
Jamie "Hyper" Hyper
we wish good luck to song and ady in #lastchance at future lan events!
#xlerated
#dustworld
This leaves me nothing left to say bar best of luck doods!
In an
earlier post I told you guys and gals about the Grand Final of the UKWC Cup.
Well, it was played last night promptly at 8. I would love to tell you it was a close battle, a real down to the wire kind of game!....But it wasn't. Unfortunatley for

Landed,

ctx were just too strong.
de_nuke:
ctx - T (10:2) CT - Landed
ctx - CT (7:5) T - Landed
de_dust2:
ctx - CT (6:6) T - Landed
ctx - T (2:0) CT - Landed
Final score:
ctx - (25:13) -
Landed
It really was an uphill struggle for
Landed, after they lost the opening half of de_nuke 10:2. From then on, the other halfs (bar the last where only 2 rounds were played!) were pretty evenly matched, with
ctx just clinching one half 7-5, and a draw another half with 6-6.
Congratulations to ctx who earned themselves this really good
web hosting package.
Hopefully
Jollx over at
UKWC will host more of the same!...
Update:
Comments
ctx | nixoh ::
"Everyone played really well for both teams but we seemed to take many more crucial 1v1s 2v1s and even some 4v1s along with most pistols which basically won us the game, thanks ukwc and very well played Landed"
ctx | m0rf (Manager) ::
the lads have put so much effort in latley, and its nice to see that effort paying off. Hopefully we can take the win at landed lan, and this ukwc cup win to WGR and continue it there. Lots of big things to come from ctx, keep your eyes pealed! Oh and I love you ricky!
Landed! FSK ::
we have been preparing for a while, and have had some pretty amazing pcw results, our only let down in last nites game was our CT Nuke half, which has been our strongest side, even vs some top clans, we was just not too hot on the day, as the rest of the results in the halfs were decent, 5 as T on nuke and 6 as T on dust2. We were very unlucky, and ctx were just 2 much for us on the day.
Well,

WGR 5 is about to start, so here is all the vital information that you keen fans and followers need to know!
The deadline for deposits has now passed with surprisingly few teams left to pay up, contact me with your excuses or your place will be passed on. Any other teams wishing to snap up a place please contact me asap.
We can now officially announce Sapphire and Everglide as event sponsors. Sapphire will be providing five ATI-powered graphics cards to go with the £500 cash prize for first place. For second place, Everglide have provided us with the usual high performance mousemats.
As well as providing these top quality prizes, Everglide have also kindly given away 80 sets of mouseskatez, so however bad you are at CS you won't go home empty handed. Also inside the goodie bags you will find a limited edition Rhythm! LAN T-shirt. Designed by and featuring the signature of the UK's biggest Counter-Strike celebrity, Johnny 'the Rhythm' Hall, these shirts are sure to become one of the most sought after items in the country, if not the world. Last but not least we will also be adding as much free stuff as we can get our hands on.

There are two things I want to tell you in this newspost! Firstly, the founders of [csgn] are taking a back seat, and persuing their further education at Universities.

Stono and

Obsidian are passing on their roles as Head admins of the league in season 5 (starting shortly), and leaving it in the very capable hands of

FK and

Titanium. Both of these doods have been with csgn for a while, and attended the CSGN LAN where they helped out as admins. So, any problems with CSGN season 5, look for these guys!
Secondly, the signups for [csgn] Season 5 are upon us! Here is your chance to enter the best League in the UK! To signup you must;
Have at least 5 registered members to your team
Be the Registered clan leader of your team.
And obviously be part of a clan
Both bits of news came from
this news post on CSGN. The link for the signup is that big blue box on the right, which shockingly says `CSGN season 5, sign up now!`
