GamesGenius is an up and coming LAN, getting more and more popular each event. In a few weeks they will be holding their 4th event, in the usual place in
Kent. GamesGenius is a non-BYOC event, therefore no struggling to get your computers to the event.
The tournament will be 8 teams, split into 2 groups of 4. After their games have been played, the 2 top teams from each group will then go onto the semi-finals and then the Finals.
It costs £10 per player in the event, and £5 for spectators. At the end of the tournament, there will be an all nighter, which will cost a further £10 per player. All money is to be paid before the event, in order to stop no-shows.

Interview - MadSpunK

Over at
Mysod.nl an interview with the very talented UK star

MadSpunK has been conducted. Following on from
Lastchance reforming as a LAN team and
EOGC outstanding performace, there was a lot to talk about.
Now tell me more about your current project, about your current clan (lc forever of course : ) ). For example how did you decide to get reunited ?
madSpunK : Well basically lastchance had gone through many roster changes in the 2 years it existed, and in the end we ended up folding. In those 2 years that we were alive we attended lans in the UK called UKTerrorist Lan Qualifiers and earned many points through a 5th place finish in the first event and two top 3 finishes in 2 other qualifiers. We folded before the finals, however as we had attended and spent a lot of money travelling and attending the qualifiers we decided to pitch a last minute team together to go. The team consisted of a blend of the old lastchance roster (myself, Song and AdY) and the newer roster (hih1) and an old school friend of mine (milka). We managed to achieve a 3rd place finish, being knocked out by 4 Kings 8 - 13 as a 'mixteam', which meant we were automatically invited to another lan event called EOGC. As it was held in London we decided to pop along and play for a laugh with the same mixteam, as four of us were based around London.
It weighs in at 9 questions and the answers are reasonably lengthy and informative. By clicking this
blue writing you will be able to view the interview.

On September the 7th
ESEA announced that they opened the free
BETA for their brand new
Esports Entertainment Fantasy League. The aim is to become the best manager and make the best possible counter-strike team, from all the clans currently playing in CAL-i.
You get to pick your starting 5 and have 2 on the bench. The better your team performs in real-life matches the more points and value your fantasy team gets.
Midway from GotFrag? created a default ‘top 50 Fantasy Players’, for all of us Europeans that don’t know much about the American scene. You can join custom league’s with your friends or play in the public leagues, fighting for that #1 spot as best manager!
