Yesterday saw another update to Source BETA, and this time a lot of changes were made, so taken straight from the site:

COUNTER-STRIKE: SOURCE BETA CHANGES / ADDITIONS:

Improved consistency of hitboxes between the server and client

Fixed glows showing through map geometry

Fixed grenades getting stuck in props

Fixed rendering errors with DX8 and anti-aliasing

Fixed playerlist in-game UI: will now properly display players

Fixed skywalking exploit on De_Dust

Fixed alt-tab video corruption bugs

Fixed player hovering over ground on round restart

Fixed reload animation bugs on AWP and Scout

Updated scoreboard to display 32+ player games properly

Updated weapon sounds

Updated weapon model textures

Updated player hand texture

Reduced effectiveness of flashbangs behind the player

Added Friends list to in-game UI

Added sv_password for servers

So for those of you who have it, just restart steam and let it update away...

With remOte.uk recently folding it was inevitable that the members would find a new home. And that is exactly whats happened, along with former TNG! and Team-Euth players.

As you can see, its a very capable lineup, who im sure will impress. I caught up with Edsworld to get the lowdown!

So how did you guys get together? Have you known each other from before? Previous clans maybe?

Yea, we knew each other from years ago when rapier, columbo and godlike were in TNG! and me , mule and yods were in a super cool team named 333!!!! pretty much since both the teams broke up we`ve been playing mixes together in a channel named chums!

So you've known each other for a few years. Does this mean that the team already has good friendship bonds? And what about tactics and team play, have they come naturally too?

Yea, were all pretty good mates and know each other well enough to play off them, we can bunk on lamp posts real quick!!! ;p at the moment were just relying on team play and no tacs , but in time they will come i guess :>

So what are the clans both short and long term goals? ED champions? World #1? Global Domination?

haha, our biggest goal is not to fold like 100000 other clans i guess, but doubt we will coz were all good mates. Hopefully were gunna be able to take another teams position in csgn div1 and work our way up from there i guess

So is bootcamping written in the Played! diary? LAN's?

not atm due to rapier wallhacking ... and godlike for that matter.;p well some day i guess but not ready yet. but im guessing we will at some point :>

As im sure most of you are aware, recently the site is being run by Mango and me (pie). Mat^_^ has got a busy life running a shop and enuex is busy preparing for his uni. Oblivion has also recently left us, but we will leave the reason kept in the closet.

Its hard when people expect the latest news at the quickest possible time, considering me and Mango need play time too.

This is where you come in. We are looking for people to help out in anyway they can, whether they want to be a normal poster, or specialise in one particular genre, clan news, reviews or articles for example. Remember you have to be aware that the site is still relatively new, and the userbase is still growing, so in time there will be a lot more feedback for your efforts.

For those of you who don`t wish to become a UKCT admin, which is perfectly fine, it would be well appreciated if you could try and comment a bit more The ukct staff work really hard and sometimes it just feels that our work is being ignored, which doesn't really motivate us at all, so the more comments the better!

Internationally known clan Schroet-Kommando are linking up with the Danube-University Krems' Center for Education and Media, to aid students studying an E-Sports module. The Austrailian university's students will be able to take advantage of the clan's extensive knowledge and experience in the field. This concept, while not revolutionary, it quite a step forward to flourishing industry and marks its inevitable stride forward into the public eye.

Been busy recently, sorry! But its better late then never, right? So heres the headlines over the past week.

4K.mix are on their way to WCG in San Francisco. It looks like they scrapped the whole BoA idea, when Mangiacapra, Harriman, aKuJji, Duck and NyG (Harrimans Brother) beat Puk-kai on de_nuke 13:4. Congratulations to 4K and best of luck in the big USA!

Ownage members Zad and rvd have left the top Swedish clan Ownage. Their reasons for leaving are no motivation and school work respectively. Rumours have it that old schools ScreaM and Filur may take the 2 empty spots remaining. Best of luck to Ownage.

It seems when United5 and TSG merged they created a monster. Last weekend the newly formed United 5 beat 3D in the final of GGL invitation. They beat 3D on train and inferno in the finals, earning themselves a hefty $3,000 (a lot of money for an online tourney!). Lets see what they can do in the events to come, best of luck.

EDIL! Enemy down is making a comeback, and proving to the UK scene that it still has what it takes to be a good competition. They have made EnemyDown Invite League. It consist of 8 top UK clans, ForsakeN and synergy for example, along with the top 8 clans in Enemy down at the moment. PC150 Headsets from Sennheiser is the top place prize, with fUnc pads for the runners up. Best of luck to all participating. Will be coverage on this site so watch this space!
