Mordi disqualified from WCG.no
In a (big) update from the news of earlier, WCG.no have received reply from their governing body ICM. The

Norwegian division of the [wcg] had originally sought for ICM to resolve the community dispute regarding the mix-team

Mordi, as you can read more of in the post below this.
Well, ICM has got back to WCG.no, and here's the full statement:
ICM:"All Players are responsible to prepare for the procedure of tournament participation beforehand, and the tournament operators are obliged to inform the notice of tournament rules and regulations to players.
( Reference : WCG Tournament Rules and Regulations : “…due to sickness or any other unforeseen event, maximum substitutions of 2 players who have not previously competed in the national preliminary will be allowed. If the substitution requires in excess of 2 players, the team will be disqualified and replaced by the next highest finishing team in the national preliminary.” )
In this case, the player intent not to participate the tournament with his/her personal circumstance and other unregistered player acted as substitute for the player.
The tournament operator found it as acted as disciplinary action and decided to disqualify the player based on the WCG tournament Rules and Regulations.
Therefore, the player did not to oblige his/her preparation for the procedure of tournament participation, therefore, we found a disciplinary action and we decided to disqualify team “mordi” from the tournament.
Also, the operator did not oblige to inform the notice of WCG tournament Rules and Regulations to the participant, therefore, the operator should post the official apology on the national website."
Overall, for a break in the rules a necessary action was taken, but for what price? The boost in spectators the [wcg] would have received had

Mordi, constructed of mostly former

eoLithic players, made it to the finals would have been quite significant. In addition, they had the potential to mount a serious challenge to the tedium of

SK.swe's dominance, having defeated them years ago when playing competitively. Overall, there is little more to be said and done on the matter, only to think of "what might have been"...

Division one back in action on this extremely humid Tuesday evening. An interesting night of matches with some fairly close skill pair-up`s and the two top division teams

suiGeneris and

CAution! facing off again`st one another. Map is de_prodigy, details below. Best of luck to all.
You may notice a new addition to division one in the form of

azoic, they replace

Xtreme9 who at a guess probably folded. Good luck to both.
CPL release CS machine specs
The official PC specs for the [cpl]
Counter-Strike machines have been released. Despite rumours of nVidia XT graphics cards and Audigy sound cards, it seems these won't be seen by the
Counter-Strike players at all. Whereas computers for
Halo,
PainKiller,
Call of Duty and
UT 2k4 will see the nVidia FX 5900XTs, Audigy2s, 3.2gHz/400 Intel CPUs, and in some cases 80gb HDDs and 2gb DDR400 RAM,
CS players will have to make do with the below...
- 3.06gHz/533 CPUs
- 1GB PC1066 RAM
- nVidia Ti4600 gfx
- 40gb ATA100 HDD
- On-board ADI SoundMax sound
Despite the big specification drops for the
CS machines, they should still prove more powerful than necessary for a game of such age. Let's hope this summer's tournament - significantly bigger than previous CPL affairs - proves a success, in what will be the first major international

US LAN since the [cxg] disaster in January.

As you most probably allready know this weekend in

Sheffield the final qualifiers for the UK [eswc] is taking place, where 14 teams will battle it out for that one precious spot which will take them to

France to represent the UK again`st the Nation`s best.
enuex has written an indepth article covering the teams that are participating this weekend. The article gives an outlook of the main top attending clans with a history of their achievements, also a brief interview with a member from each team to find out the history behind the team and their predictions for the event.
“This Saturday sees 14 Counter-Strike teams head to Sheffield, amongst numerous WC3 players, for the final ESWC UK qualifier. Only 1 team can progress and represent the
UK at July`s ESWC in Poitiers,
France, and perhaps this year there is a little less certainty than ever before over which team that will be. In previous years, the Counter-Strike squad of
Four Kings has been almost uncontested in each UK event it has attended, building up an extensive winning streak in regards to UK competition. Many times it has been taken for granted that they would be the ones victorious of any UK event they attended, and each time they have attended in recent years they have arguably not failed to deliver.”
The article is extremely well written and well worth a read, head on over to the articles section or take a shortcut by clicking
