As I was browsing through various sites I came across this little gem which looks quite interesting.
Codename Gordon is a 2D side scrolling Half-Life shoot-em-up created by Nuclearvision Entertainment which will soon be available through Steam.
“Codename Gordon, a new side scrolling adventure through the Half-Life universe, will be coming soon to all Steam customers. Created by Nuclearvision Entertainment, Codename Gordon takes players through dozens of levels inspired by Half-Life and Half-Life 2, challenges players to a slew of puzzles, and showcases many of the familiar creatures in an all new, 2 dimensional playing field.”
A small movie of in game footage can be downloaded
here.
So if your fed up with the original format of Half-Life 1 or fancy something a little different this might be for you. While we`re on the subject of Half-Life the official Half-Life 2 website is now live, you can find it over at
Half-Life2.com.
Counter-Strike:Source Movie
This evening
VALVe should be releasing a
Counter-Strike
ource gameplay movie. CS

ource is the result of merging the Source engine (used in Half-Life 2) and Counter-Strike, but this is more just a simple combination, CS

revamps not only the game to todays graphical standards but also includes the much vaunted Havok physics engine, that hopefully will lead to more creative gameplay and a richer environment. Note this will not be Counter-Strike 2, just an upgrade.
To amuse you while you wait for the video to be released, why not watch the HL2 and CS E3 movie by clicking
here. The video should be released on FileShack later this evening.
Interview - bsl

Over at schroet.com,

Antmoo has interviewed none other then our very own

TAG|bsl.

bsl is famously known for playing in top clans like

Mibr who placed 5th at cpl winter, and

NoA, who exploded onto the cs scene last cpl winter, by where bsl and his team managed to place 2nd spot.
The interview talks about the contraversial

NoA, his thoughts on the

ElemeNt fiasco, and

TAG, including his thoughts on questionably the best UK LAN at present,

UKT.
Heres the usual snippet:
So after you were removed, they decided to recruit element. Only that situation is a bit shaky at the moment. What are your views on the whole thing?
I dont like the situation since I know the people that are involved...but I think its a sad thing for eSports, and sports in general if players can break contracts at any given Sunday. Unfortunately I fear that there wont be any repercussions for this behaviour and that is sad for the development of the sport. I dont know what element is thinking to leave the best team in the world but I’m sure hes going to remain successful in NoA, and maybe feel more at home there.
To see the interview, click the link below. Its quite long, but worth a read.
