A few days ago [clanbase] announced the 24 participating nations for the upcoming Nations Cup VI. Team UK is situated in Group B with such nations as 
Switzerland, 
Iceland. Ireland, 
Denmark and 
Slovakia. Today the first weeks fixtures have been announced for each group.

enuex has written an article entitled Does Valve Truly Care About, And Listen To, The CS Community? regarding as the title suggests, VALVe and their current state of interest of views from you the gamer who afterall give them their bread and butter. The article questions and in some respects answers the topic of the many questioned recent updates which have been welcomed by some but alternatavely frowned upon by the majority.
It's a lenghty article, but non-the-less a good read, giving an overview of what VALVe consider to be important changes, albeit in their eyes to the game that has become a big part of most of our lives. Check it out for yourself here.

Yesterday a new VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) update was released, upgrades include performance increases and added cheat detection. Here is the list of changes:
