CSC: I-eS in Group Decider

Posted by ukenuex on the 1st of April 2004 at 5:22 PM in Gaming News    0 Comments

In the [clanbase] Counter-Strike Challenge tonight, our boys uk Infinity-eSports will be participating in what looks to be the decider of their group. In the competition, only one team from each group - the winner - proceeds to the next stage, according to the tournament layout. The winner of I-eS's match tonight against de Team-64.AMD will go even on points with the current 2 leaders, de Alternate aTTaX and de Ocrana.D-Link. It seems as though rounds difference will be used to decide between any ties at the top, in which either of tonight's teams would look to do fairly well in provided they win sufficiently tonight.

    CS Realism Update

Posted by ukMango^ on the 2nd of April 2004 at 2:36 PM in Gaming News    0 Comments

Yesterday the final edition of CS Realism was released, this includes graphical upgrades for virtually all aspects of Counter-Strike. Some features of note include:

  • High poly Weapon models

  • High Resolution textures for some maps

  • High quality sounds

  • Upgraded HUD

  • These upgrades, especially the high-res textures, give Counter-Strike a much needed graphical boost. If you own a GeForce 3/ATI Radeon or higher you really should give it a try, a lot of Counter-Strike players like to play with default media to keep the experience as congruous as possible, but those textures are very pretty.
