Some info on the upcoming US events:
CAL: As always just into the new year it's time to kick of a new season. The (CyberAthlete Amateur League) or CAL for short is now into it's tenth season. New this season is the introduction of the Premier division which slots in between the Main and Invite divisions. Preseason week one map is de_comrade_thirdroute the onto de_aztec in week two.
CXG: Over at
Cyber X Gaming the full event timetable was announced a couple of days ago. Allready some US teams are making their way to LA to get in a couple of days bootcamping before the event, including
Team 3D who had a dissapointing finish in Winter 2003 CPL. Whats especially exciting with this event is the heavy UK presence. With major sponsorship now,
4Kings,
Team AMD and
Infinity-eSports are participating in the event. This will surely brighten things up for the UK Counter-Strike scene, best of luck to the UK teams. CXG will be covered fully on UKCT.
UK team line-up's
4Kings: Migotti, Mangiacapra, Harriman, Hartman, Andersen
TAG: Teppum, Shaq, bom, zag, duck
I-eS: aku, Dart, Dark, Luck1ng, Zaffe

The CSGN league is about to get underway again. The league which consists of 5 divisions, each seating 10 clans is now into Season #3. The premier, invite only division which undoubtedly will gain most peoples attention consists of:
GDO, Monkey Magic, zebras, Choke, xtra, BLACKLiGHT, Game2Xs, Fightclubclan, uC and Lastchance.
Maps that will be used throughout the nine week league will be:
- Week 1: de_dust2
- Week 2: de_inferno
- Week 3: de_cpl_fire
- Week 4: de_Nuke
- Week 5: de_prodigy
- Week 6: de_train
- Week 7: de_cbble
- Week 8: de_clan1_mill
- Week 9: de_aztec
I caught up with
AdY from
Lastchance, who were last seasons premier division champions to see how he thinks this season will go for them:
Whats your current line-up at the moment?
lc-|AdY: AdY, song , arak, geordie, madspunk and stannly but stannly has a job and doesnt play as much as the others.
Is there any team in the division that you think might give you a rough ride?
lc-|AdY: Monkey Magic because they are good counter-strikers
Do you put in any preperation for a league like this?
lc-|AdY: not that much just maybe tactics on the night and pcws as normal
Finally with 2 clans recently receiving huge sponsorship, is there anything on the cards for Lastchance?
lc-|AdY: Well our manager Antmoo has been working very hard and i think we are now closer than ever to getting some serious sponsorship but only time will tell
Thanks to
AdY and best of luck to lastchance and everyone else in season #3.
